yes but if noones made a good mod for it ill take what i can get yk?But if it's your favourite car, wouldn't you also want it to drive like the real thing?
But what do you get out of a mod of your favourite car if it handles nothing like it should? If you just want to see it you could also look at a picture, you'll get the same experience out of that.yes but if noones made a good mod for it ill take what i can get yk?
you have no idea do youBut what do you get out of a mod of your favourite car if it handles nothing like it should? If you just want to see it you could also look at a picture, you'll get the same experience out of that.
I have no idea why you'd want to drive a car that doesn't handle like it should, in a sim, because it doesn't make sense. I am open to hear your reasoning tho.you have no idea do you
because if you wanna drive that exact car even if it doesnt drive how it should you take wwhat you can get. i dont really know how to explain it any better sorryI have no idea why you'd want to drive a car that doesn't handle like it should, in a sim, because it doesn't make sense. I am open to hear your reasoning tho.
Example: There is/was a mod out there of an Opel Manta B GT/E. Great model, scratch built and all. It's by no means my favourite car, but I do like the old Opel models. The physics of this mod are 1:1 copy of the Ford Escort 1600RS. So now I have an Escort that looks like a Manta, or a Manta that handles like an Escort. Either way, completely wrong.
So why would I want to drive that? Why use a car in a sim if I can't even (to some extent) experience how that car would handle in real life? I already have a car that handles like the Escort in game, and I don't get the experience of driving a Manta B out of that mod.
(BTW mods if you don't want us derailing the thread any further feel free to clip this discussion into it's own thread )
yes I'm pretty sure its in one of those google drives found in the comments in the reddit post i linkeddo you know if it is possible to retrieve the stolen F1 1976 mod SimDream had in their site ?
i know theres 2 versions of it and one is better than the other but theyre both pretty primitiveI know its an old track, but has anyone thought of redoing the Reims track at all ? Only one I know of is in GPL. Its a fairly simple track, but with a few details could be pretty nice.
you probably have to pay people to make high quality mods lol but you can always look in assetto land https://***********.***********/***********/carsPlease can someone create a high quality mod of a Ferrari 360, both standard and Challenge Stradale.
Also a 90s Aston Martin Vantage v600/Le Mans.
Oh and 992 Porsches, road and race.
There are a few of these mods around but none are on here which says alot about their quality
RD isnt the only source of quality, at least until 2019 lol I dont know nowPlease can someone create a high quality mod of a Ferrari 360, both standard and Challenge Stradale.

Thats where i got alot of these 'trashy' modsyou probably have to pay people to make high quality mods lol but you can always look in assetto land https://***********************/***********/cars
a lot of the cars on there are pretty high quality but yeah most of them are pretty badThats where i got alot of these 'trashy' mods
Trouble is as a relatively new sim racer (and non-driver) I cant tell if a cars is a bad mod or just a bad cara lot of the cars on there are pretty high quality but yeah most of them are pretty bad
yeah i dont drive irl either and am also a generally new sim racer. usually you can tell by the model quality if the rest of the car is gonna be good but thats not always the caseTrouble is as a relatively new sim racer (and non-driver) I cant tell if a cars is a bad mod or just a bad car
But if we are new and dont know they are crappy mods then attitudes like yours can sometimes make us feel bad and make you look elitist. It’s all subjective to a certain extent… but when the mod doesn’t have LODs, uses copy/paste Kunos physics and something as basic as a windshield shader not being setup correctly, it’s clear the car is a rip from another game, put together in a couple of days time and uploaded to assetto land or similar site where there are no morals…
Its ok to have lower standards and no one is forcing anybody to not download these mods… but it’s annoying when the RACE DEPARTMENT modding section gets cluttered with “help me, my crappy assetto land mod’s windshield no workie…” … “helpz plz car mirrors upside down”… “ bump! You elitist don’t care”
Yeah, not fair to expect anyone here to help get these crappy mods working just because you absolutely need your weird childhood poster car in game…
