yes but if noones made a good mod for it ill take what i can get yk?
But what do you get out of a mod of your favourite car if it handles nothing like it should? If you just want to see it you could also look at a picture, you'll get the same experience out of that.

you have no idea do you
I have no idea why you'd want to drive a car that doesn't handle like it should, in a sim, because it doesn't make sense. I am open to hear your reasoning tho.

Example: There is/was a mod out there of an Opel Manta B GT/E. Great model, scratch built and all. It's by no means my favourite car, but I do like the old Opel models. The physics of this mod are 1:1 copy of the Ford Escort 1600RS. So now I have an Escort that looks like a Manta, or a Manta that handles like an Escort. Either way, completely wrong.

So why would I want to drive that? Why use a car in a sim if I can't even (to some extent) experience how that car would handle in real life? I already have a car that handles like the Escort in game, and I don't get the experience of driving a Manta B out of that mod.

(BTW mods if you don't want us derailing the thread any further feel free to clip this discussion into it's own thread :))

I know its an old track, but has anyone thought of redoing the Reims track at all ? Only one I know of is in GPL. Its a fairly simple track, but with a few details could be pretty nice.

Please can someone create a high quality mod of a Ferrari 360, both standard and Challenge Stradale.

Also a 90s Aston Martin Vantage v600/Le Mans.

Oh and 992 Porsches, road and race.

There are a few of these mods around but none are on here which says alot about their quality

It’s all subjective to a certain extent… but when the mod doesn’t have LODs, uses copy/paste Kunos physics and something as basic as a windshield shader not being setup correctly, it’s clear the car is a rip from another game, put together in a couple of days time and uploaded to assetto land or similar site where there are no morals…

Its ok to have lower standards and no one is forcing anybody to not download these mods… but it’s annoying when the RACE DEPARTMENT modding section gets cluttered with “help me, my crappy assetto land mod’s windshield no workie…” … “helpz plz car mirrors upside down”… “ bump! You elitist don’t care”

Yeah, not fair to expect anyone here to help get these crappy mods working just because you absolutely need your weird childhood poster car in game…

But if we are new and dont know they are crappy mods then attitudes like yours can sometimes make us feel bad and make you look elitist.

Ive been playing and modding games for over 20 years but I am new to proper sim games and i do feel bad when people on here just say "Is crap mod...what you expect? Why you download?" when i just need a bit of help.

Its ok to tell us we have downloaded a bad mod but just do it nicely
