Just a top-up from last night's post....

If you or anyone else is still interested in this - this morning I've been in touch with a some guys that used to work on the original cars (both factory and race team) and they're fairly sure they can get the info a mod might *need, so could (any of?) you put together a list of tech info that would help and I'll be happy to start the search :)

*I did mention I guessed it would include; all engine power/torque info, gearbox dtls, weights, springs/dampers, chassis dimension including suspension pick-up points, chassis construction type, brake info, wheels/tyres, general car performance etc. There maybe a chance to also get driver feedback on the mod too, there's still a few out there!;)
I would like very much a blueprint of the car, if possible. I don't need any kinds of tachnical details yet, i am going to start the modelling phase. How wide were the wheels of this monster?

I've found some pictures:

Please keep in touch. I'll do what I can.

I've finished the work for today. I did the floor and the wheel covers (?) of the car. I hope you're happy with that.

If you have some good pictures from the front of the car, please send it to me.
Note to mods: If this should be done by pm please let me know, or maybe people like to see the progress?? :)

Hi 1234G, wow you're fast!

Some superb front shots and, highly detailed photos can be found here: https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/lf13/london/lots/r146-1970-chevron-b16/294071 and here (you'll see the car interior changed a lot within two years, your choice!) http://www.race-cars.com/carsold/chevron/1212113548/1212113548pp.htm
More detail shots but quality not brilliant (ignore the engine, it's a rare BMW version) http://www.race-cars.com/carsold/chevron/1424803360/1424803360pp.htm
More good front pictures, also has detailed info re dimensions: http://tech-racingcars.wikidot.com/chevron-b16

Wheel size was 13 inch diameter front and rear, 10inch wide fronts, 13 or 14 inch rears (from memory I think most cars were 14inch rear, will do some more checking). A good pic of a wheel below - most were magnesium, highly polished rim with the mat black 'casting' colour in the centre.

For the Historic tyres now being used, here's a link to info and good quality pics: https://hptyres.com/?s=chevron&post_type=product

I'll see what I can find re blueprints (some people are very guarded about giving drawings out due to copyright issues!), though I hope this helps for now though (found here, with other useful info): https://www.ultimatecarpage.com/spec/99/Chevron-B16-Cosworth.html)

Dimensions
Weight590 kilo / 1,301 lbs
Length / Width / Height3,937 mm (155 in) / 1,778 mm (70 in) / 940 mm (37 in)
Wheelbase / Track (fr/r)2,362 mm (93 in) / 1,321 mm (52 in) / 1,321 mm (52 in)
Hope that helps!

Thank you for all the things. As I can see, you're very excited.

Could Somebody assist me with creating an in-game timer in MM:SS format?

Ideally, I'd like to have a timer that i could set manually to count down from a predetermined time during a driving session and display a message after the timer hits 0.

I think the best way to go about this would be to set the time and message manually in the python file. I have a .py file that sets up a timer, but i don't have the knowledge to make this compatible with Assetto Corsa.

I can provide the .py file if anyone is willing to help, but it isn't letting me attach that file to a comment.

This seems like something that's been done already, but a few minutes of googling did not turn up what I was hoping to find. Here it is:

I want the Chase Cam view in replays to show the name of the driver being tracked.

For some reason, the driver being tracked by the camera system in replays omits the tracked driver specifically. I've been able to get around this by using CamTool2 where it shows the first few characters of a driver's name of the car being tracked, but 1) it isn't the whole name and 2) SRS wants to be more specific about which views are used to record protests.

9/10 times I think my protest would be clear if I could just hit F1 until the chase cam on a dufus is shown, and just record them being dufuses, all with their name perfectly displayed on screen so other views are not required to be recorded as well.

Anyone got any ideas on how to even start making this happen for an app or something?

That's not bad at all! I wish it was JUST the name though... Ideally in the same placard right over the car instead of having to be displayed in an app. In fact, for some reason SRS has decided that names in apps themselves are no longer considered valid. Hrmph.

Guess I just need to use chase cam from cars AROUND the dufus to get the names.

Thanks for the quick help, though!

you know about the shortcut "Ctrl+L", it displays the names above the cars, i think thats what you are looking for

As stated in my first post, the Ctrl+L placards are not shown on the tracked driver in Replays. You have to track some other car for no good reason I can come up with.

I've had okay luck with protests of just chase cam and cockpit footage... I was just wondering if anyone would be able to fix the problem with the tracked car not having its own Ctrl+L placard. That would be the best solution of all, really.

Hi
I wonder if someone could make a car for me.
My cousin car, a Audi Coupe Quattro racecar.
It has a 2.2 20v turbo R5,but it's oversized to 2.6 with 700hp.
I drop two photos, one of my cousin car and one wonderful :)
I have all the specs from the cars.
I can pay for this
