Hey guys, I'm really sorry for doing this for like the fourth event in a row, but I'll have to pull out of this one. I haven't been racing for a few weeks and can't seem to string together a half-decent lap with these cars.

Once again, really sorry, I'll see you on Tuesday for the WTCR race though.

Wonderful. My game has suddenly become a complete slideshow, and that's just the main menu. Given that it worked fine on Tuesday I have no idea why. PC restart did not fix the issue, and other than the game plus related apps I have nothing else running. There are days when I really, really hate computers.

I'll see if I can work out WTF is going on before the end of qualy.

The slideshow issue turned out to be Shi... I mean, SteamVR. It had once again updated itself without bothering to tell me (the only Steam app which does), so I had to roll it back to a version that actually works.

But then I had hardware issues instead. All was fine in practice and qualy, and for the first couple of laps. Then my throttle started oscillating between 25-75%. So no top speed, and almost impossible to control when under acceleration.

I've tried tweaking the range with the Bodnar calibration app, but the oscillation is so large that it's no good. I've already stolen the potentiometer from my clutch to fix a broken throttle about a year ago, so that leaves me with no real options. I just can't afford a decent set of new pedals right now.

Always enjoy the driver's POV. IMHO, the only objection would be from Team Speak if any TS is included in the video ( I guess they don't like sharing). That being said, if anyone is interested, here is my Spectator video:
