The "What Are You Working On?" Thread

Been a productive couple of weeks on Miramas. I finished the partially-constructed grandstands and pit walls for the 1924 layout, and finished colliders for all of the buildings, walls, and trackside objects. This includes all of the trees on the inside of the circuit, so if you should happen to run wide on the exit of the south curve, you're going to have a very bad day :D

Also started working in earnest on trackside car models for the circuit. I currently have 5 different variations of the Renault Monasix in 3 different bodystyles, as well as two different body styles of a "generic" 1920s car. Not sure how many other models I'll work on. Thinking I might make some Peugeots and Citroëns, though judging from the photos Renault definitely seem to have been the most popular vehicle of choice down in Istres so I will probably mostly be using what I've got already.

Too many edges round the circumference, not enough across the width of the tire. Usually I'd aim for more like 60 around, and at least 3-4 rows on the flat face of the tire so that it can bulge out appropriately. Sidewall edges should also probably be equal lengths instead of the middle being shorter, that'll create a weird pinch.

I always make mine around 64 sides so can just make the LOD easier dividing it 64-32-16-8, but yes way too many edges around the diameter,

Wheelrims varies but usually try to keep around 72

I thought the chassis detailing was going to be the last thing I did on this car, but the easy modeling of many different little pieces was strangely therapeutic while half paying attention to meetings, so the chassis is probably about ~50% there, modeling-wise. Neat! bodywork main forms are done, as well. Need to cut in the window and then it's all detailing left on the body. Also need suspension, radiator and all the cockpit detailing. I'm guessing the modeling is about 25% done.
