Please just open the weatherFX app, when you notice such bugs. It has an error report. It seems you miss the shader patch update. Sol 1.1 beta 6 requires Shader Patch preview 46 or later. So just follow these steps:

First: delete dwrite.dll in AC root folder!

Download latest Shader Patch

Drag'n'drop it to CM -> Open menu (symbol becomes green) -> press install

Download latest Sol beta

Drag'n'drop it to CM -> Open menu (symbol becomes green) -> press install(edited)

Can I use these steps updating from shader patch v0.1.24 and GBW or would I need to delete the shader patch

right now im using sol 1.1 beta 6 with ligths-patch v0125-preview49
in the night i have weird ilumination of the cockpits..blue...pink...orange..

what am i doing wrong?

I tried the new versions of both Shader patch & sol
the flags are now moving again :)
but the dynamic objects are still fixed!
No more planes at Donington :o

This is a new feature called "interior lights". It comes with some car light configs from some people. You can deactivate it in Shader Patch's "lighting Fx" section.
 
I read the manual and did as it says but it won't work for me. The time wont advance past 18 o clock and CM gives me an error message: "Could not find part of the path C:\.....\sol_config.lua
What can I do to fix this?

Nevermind, I installed via CM. My bad!
I did the same thing, so I re-installed Sol manually, but there is still no night time. Do I have to delete something the CM 'attempted install' did?

Regarding overwriting SOL with a later version, is it okay to simply 'drag'n'drop' in to CM and all necessary files will be overwritten? I.e there's no need to delete or disable a previous version beforehand?

Gotta say, love this mod but, I've found that the lights on some tracks are really s&it. Bathurst 1st corner in the dark are terrible, can't see bugger all around the corner, head lights aren't like that full stop. Am i doing something wrong?

I was under the impression that the track creator was responsible for the lighting, or lack of it.

i did my homework, cleared all mods, repaired AC through Steam to make sure it was clean.
It's actually the recent versions of light shader patch that makes the dynamic objects not moving anymore
so... nothing to do with Sol ;)
 
Hello, I have a problem with dynamic weather, the thing is, I've set SOL.WEATHER_PLAN and Random.lua but when I'm in game and I open weather debug, it says that it's missing ")" near "=" in SOL.WEATHER_PLAN.lua file, but when I add ")" near it (no matter if on left or right) it says thatthere's unexpected character near "="... I don't know what to do, here how the files look

I found the first servers using the SOL mod. but what cool is it ??? pity only that there are the balls that do not have the mod and therefore x them and 'day regardless of the settings of the server. Is there any way to overcome this problem? a check on the server that provides information on the correct operation of the mod to make sure that everyone is in order?

:laugh: Please delete your dofile line. Everything is wrong with that.
Just uncomment a dofile line on the bottom. In LUA the "--" is the sign for comment. So just delete the "--" infront of the dofile command. This will work then.

If you like to use it a more user friendly way, install the newest beta and leBluem's new weatherFX app. There you can activate and switch between different plans in-game:

@Peter Boese One question, if I choose real conditions - it is obsolete to use weather plan, correct? The weather changes and adapts to the current given, real conditions as well? Or does it just have the weather like it was at the start of the session? Hope you understand what I mean...
