Ahead of the big VR, Bentley and Misano "EA Release 2" for ACC, Kunos Simulazioni have released a few very nice teaser images from the upcoming content release...

With only two short days left to wait for the first major content update for Assetto Corsa Competizione, Kunos Simulazioni have released a nice set of rather attractive preview images in the form of some stunning shots of the mega Bentley Continental GT3 and Misano Circuit, the two major new pieces of content set to hit ACC this October 10th.

Slightly more difficult to reflect in screenshot form, the new release scheduled for this Wednesday will also be notable for the first pass at supporting Virtual Reality (VR) in the sim - a very exciting development for ACC, and something that is sure to please quite a few of the sim racing community (myself included).

Of course this is the first update for ACC since the game deployed into the public realm via Steam Early Access back in September, and it will be interesting to see what other tweaks, improvements and features Kunos can add to an already very impressive simulation in the four weeks since it made its public debut.

Macro Stuterings is infuriating me. Cant run a entire lap without this. When happens on corner is horrible.

They must fix as soon as possible. I have a i7 4790k 4.00 ghz, a GTX 1080 and 16 GB of ram. My PC can handle perfectly original Assetto Corsa, but Competizione run with lots of macro stuterings on my PC.

:cry::cry::cry: Another release and NO triple screen support. I'm so disappointed :sick::sick::sick::sick::sick:
And more important, no word about it in the future.:(:(:(
Edit
Bentley it is one amazing beast. Beautiful

2nd day is the hardest they say

Well this 2nd update is underwhelming, tons of jagged edges and grass on tarmac at Misano with the Bentley.

In the car it's all fine, but outside there's quite a bit of work to do. If this were the first release I would have questioned myself to refund.

Kunos, you can do this, but this is not ok as 2nd major update during EA.

Once it's up and running VR is superb even at this early stage, performance seems excellent even on my ageing i7 4770K and my suddenly so last gen 1080Ti.

The real advantage is the whole piont of VR which is the cars just feel so much more alive and real, car control is just so much more intuitive. I'm sure the steering feel and feedback has improved since release 1 and in VR the feel of what the car is doing is up there with the best of the current games. The difference between the safe and aggressive setups is huge and instantly noticeable in the way the cars slide and react. That handling feel and finesse that was always the Kunos/AC difference is back, for me at least (I haven't changed any settings except increase the new road feedback to 50). Full praise where it is due the cars really do feel good, the true car scale and being able to see depth in the corners in VR makes for such a better experience.

Yes sure there are many aspects of ease of use etc that I'm sure will be improved so nothing more to say about that.

The VR driving experience itself is a fabulous start for ACC and I'm impressed with game performance given how many other Unreal games suffer all sorts of framerate issues.

Macro Stutering is heavy in VR

any ideas ?
tried vsync on and off
pc is good

The macro stuterings is heavy on normal screens too. It is happen on the same points, main straight and on corner 10. It seems related with live time, ghosts of something similar. The engine is not doing pre-cache, and the game graphics and sound stop until the task is done, but the physics is still running, so, when the graphics come back, the car are ahead. The inputs are still valid. If I change a gear, the car will change the gear, if I turn the steering wheel, the car will move.

It is like some task that are not handled on background without stoping the graphichs and sound engine.

I use HDD. People with SSD probably didnt note this, because the task will work fast.

Yay...you can 'Disable' the 'Proximity Arrows' in the 'HUD' menu...errr...unless I missed that before...lol
Bentley sounds amazing as did the Lambo...BUT the Steering Wheel position in relation to the dash read out is to low (like all Bentley GT3's in every Sim I have when I set up my standard seating position)...maybe it's just the way it is and this is my personal preference....the Lambo cockpit steering and dash alignment was perfect for me anyway.
Everything is working as before, but still can not custom map any buttons on my TS XW wheel, but at least it works...early days though and I am still very happy with ACC overall.
