Hulk pits, rejoins quite close behind Stroll.
It does seem to be a boring race so far, btw :D c'mon, do some undercuts and stuff

Next update Lap 39.
Deadline: May 28th 23:00 CEST

edit: average pitstop for Melbourne is 18,2 seconds, although you can see in the first post (pit time + 2,7s average stop time)

How are Norris' tyres taking few laps more? Looking on change from 3->2 and 2->1 boxes, he is on level of "tyre whisperer" Perez (who is still getting tyre wear even retired). ;)

EDIT: let me answer myself, I may overseen those downforce parameters. So I guess those affect tyre wear, as both Excelsior's are saving tyres.

Russell looks to have made a big mistake, falling behind Leclerc.

Because of Russell's mistake he is forced to lose time in the double stack pit. He drops behind De Vries as a result.

My brain was a complete mess, and I forgot to backup my sheet while I messed up the screenshots so I don't have laps 33-38.
Leclerc had only just caught up to Albon and KMag and Leclerc traded some fastest laps.
Hulkenberg had just passed Albon.
Zhou pitted on this lap.

Next update goes to the end, lap 58.
Deadline: May 31st, 23:00 CEST

I dont see that renaults with the worst reliability would be bad at all in reliability lol...

Norris pits and rejoins very close behind Leclerc! This may be interesting. Zhou sets a fastest lap.
41.PNG

Norris ends up passing Leclerc, as his push is then slowed down by Hulkenberg.
45.PNG

More Renault DNFs happen this update, as Leclerc and Zhou both retire.
49.PNG

Stroll also retires, as Albon can't compete on the worn tyres and drops to last place.
51.PNG

More Renault DNFs, as both the Red Nights retire from podium places. Now Norris is released to try to catch Verstappen for the win. Falcon utilizes a team order, as Russell gets the position.
57.PNG

And Norris ends up taking the lead, as he catches Max out on a very slow lap.
58.PNG

And that is the final order, with no further changes.

I have NOT updated your budgets, so you can wait for a bit and I will post again when I do update them.

Perfect strategy + random failures, my favourite part of racing, not. :D
That is how I made Renaults work, highs are high but the lows are very low
Last race all of the Renaults finished :p

edit: I will do the weather seed in my next post, wait for it

-Chooses slow af Ferrari for 100% reliability
-3 DNFs in 3 races...
-also crash DNF isn't the same as mechanical DNF :p
Failure for BOT in FP2? Didn't know that was a thing
Hulk had a failure in Q3 Melbourne.

And I will run a separate seed for failures for both the sprint and full race, however as the formula is built on mileage it may be less likely to retire on the sprint race compared to the full race.

Note: Max and Russell didn't crash, only made mistakes.

Where are the Renaults? :roflmao::coffee:
#2 drivers took all the spoils, as often is the case in Imola tbh.

The sprint race will start off intermediate, but the rain is expected to get heavier even in the first few laps. So it might be a debate between picking the inter/wet tyre.
Therefore, I'm leaving it open for you all to pick a starting tyre, and I will do lap-by-lap updates due to the weather. So this update runs only lap 1.
Keep in mind that the pitstop here is long, averaging 30,4 seconds.
The intermediates and wet tyres both last 32 laps until no green bars (so more than the sprint)
edit: on intermediate wetness, the wet tyre is 5 seconds per lap slower. So that's what you can expect if you start on wets.

and also, the announcement:
I decided to trial a "push" pace mode, without the poll. It goes as follows:
+0,25 seconds laptime fixed
-60 tyre saving PP
x2 chance to crash out or make a mistake
-overtake/defend gets easier due to the faster pace
-Balanced still remains the default mode, if you want to use push you should say on which laps you want to use it
