RENNSPORT to Host Summit Event to Debut New Racing Simulator

A new simulation title from RENNSPORT will be debuted to the world at a summit event this weekend, with 100 personalities from the world of sim racing in attendance.

When RENNSPORT announced its plans to release a racing simulator earlier this year, there was understandably some scepticism from the sim community. But the project has progressed to the point where the developer is ready to showcase an early build to the world.

100 sim racing personalities from around the world have been invited to a summit event RENNSPORT is hosting. The event will take place over three days from the 27th of May to the 29th. Attendees will be able to learn more about the title directly from the developers, and will be given the opportunity to race a pre-release version the first time before sharing their impressions with the public.

A follow-up tweet from the RENNSPORT team asked Twitter if they should share gameplay footage in advance of the event, which of course garnered a positive response.

To date, very little has been shared about the upcoming title. A few stylish renders of Porsche and BMW GT3 cars in showroom mode, plus a few action shots at Hockenheim with the same cars.

Multiple members of the RaceDepartment team, including myself, will be attending the event. Be sure to check back often for news from the RENNSPORT summit and follow our Twitter and Instagram closely over the course of this weekend.

Are there specific facets of the title that you want to learn more about? Let us know in the comments below what information you're hoping to learn from the event, and we will try to incorporate it into our coverage of the event through future articles. For questions and discussions regarding the title please check out the RENNSPORT forum.

I bet this is Raceroom 2.0 aka GTR3 and it's quite obvious when watching the video on a small screen. Just looks (from the FOV/camera-movement) and sounds like Raceroom to me:whistling:
Interestingly, although the graphics itself remind me of ACC (which is not very surprising considering it's based on UE5), for some reason Hockenheim itself indeed looks fairly similar to the RR version.

Ah okay, so the RACE Series of Simbin were only about the Seat Leon and BMW 320i E46 as those were the cars of the first public demo?
amazing memory, Bram. the 100 dollar question: where or how did you get your demo from? in this case I can still remember, actually.

I think it’s time for PC4, in the same theme as PC1, as sim as possible and mostly just everything apart from F1/GTs pls

Looks quite good but the most important aspects cannot be judged right now, so we'll have to wait for some reviews. I get that they concentrate on GT3s but it's getting boring after more than 10 years of GT dominance in simracing. I mean....there are other cars than GT cars and there are even more tracks than Spa & Monza. It's like listening to Nickelback all the time while there is also Pink Floyd available....I just don't get it. :D

People complaining about the physics from a 1 minute video that they didn't even drive themselves :D :D :D :D :D don't ever change Race Department.... Don't ever change!
Clearly unrealistic, the car isn't even being drifted sideways through every corner like it's on worn rain tyres like in that one simulator widely praised for it's "realistic physics".

Valid point of course, it's only a brief video, all we have to go on. But show me a irl video of a GT3 car sideways out of the last corner onto the exit kerb with the throttle still fairly wide open...

100 members from Sim racing community... seems like a massive event.

My wish is for more ROAD cars. They just have more feel, variance and heart. Just all around more FUN....!!!!

I am very skeptical about this. No company name is given on the game's website. Only from the job offers can one see that behind it is a company called Competition Company GmbH with headquarters in Munich, where a certain Morris Hebecker is listed as managing director. This Morris Hebecker is also the managing director of (currently) five other companies, namely LW 11 GmbH, ENTAGROS Holding GmbH, entragos GmbH, morphicon media AG and Bavarian Finest GmbH, all of which are registered at the same address, Lindwurmstrasse 88 in Munich.

LW 11 GmbH, also known as INGMAN GmbH Ingenieurmanufaktur links to a game development project named Ingman Interactive, that it/was involved in the development of VR games - and seems to have failed. entragos GmbH is an accounting firm that lists morphicon media AG and INGMAN GmbH as customers on its website. morphicon media AG is a game publisher that seems to be involved with the distribution of 10+ year old games via DVD-Rom (Classic Games), some weird indie/mobile/browser games (Mamor Games), most of which seem to be dead (this is the only one I have found available on Steam) and Peter Games, which mainly lists the (existing and seemingly decent) indie horror adventure game Through The Woods, but which does not seem to have any connection with that publisher. Bavarian Finest GmbH (aka Brighter Games) appears to be another publisher of weird, outdated mobile games.

I know a lot of startups have different disguises and investors in them often have these confusing connections between their businesses, but this looks very strange.

PC4 exists... it's called Automobilista 2 (that is PC3, 4 and will be the 5, trough patches). Because of EA, SMS will never again deliver a good game... all the hope is lost
wrong.
AMS2 cannot be be PC4, because its based on the last state of PC2 and the underlaying Madness engine.
Reiza cannot enhance the engine, its not part of the deal.
But AMS2 will get that PC2, that it should have been.
PC3 has an enhaced engine, regardless what SMS has done with it in PC3 and PC4 will also have a further enhanced engine. I hope they'll do a better job with it under the hood of EA.
Looking on that what Reiza did, we see that Madness engine is better than its reputation.
But we also see how much time they need to get rid of the buggy PC2 code.

Dunno. n+1 GT racing... Who needs a worse ACC?
Regency Studio will be not happy about their logo.

Still runs fabulous, well, in GTR2. People are missing a trick with GTR2 - it's not far off Assetto CSP visually and certainly better looking than Assetto native when using the HQ patch - and with Crew Chief, the VR has much better clarity and is far easier to run in a performance sense than modern sims. And the FFB and the weight of the cars (if you set the FFB multi per car correctly and use the right FFB file) is also more convincing if you ask me. I had never raced GTR2 before and have only just got in to it of late and am totally hooked!
GTR2 is GOAT
