What does this community really wants?

Looking at what this community is playing, this week on PC, there is more people driving in AC than in ACC and RF2 and PCars2 put together.

This says something about what we are actually driving, which sometimes is not represented by what is making the news or actively discussed on RD.
AC in it present state, on PC, attract more players than the other 3 put together. I also play the other 3, but far less, that I spend time in AC.
To me, AC is with all the toppings, VR, CM, Shader, SOL, real mirrors, all the tracks and mods and not just the one available here, has so much to offer, it is unbelievable.
This morning I raced 2008 f1 in Montreal with all the cars with proper livery down to the helmets, dynamic changing weather, 22 cars on the grid. I was there at that race in 2008 and AC is virtually bringing me back, but this time I am driving, priceless!
Only AC has that ability to only limit what you can do to what you can imagine or desire.
Judging by that it is driven by the majority, AC is really what this community wants, and I am talking about the one actually driving, not the minority writing 80% of the post here, too busy complaining to actually enjoy our great hobby.
That is the community I am referring to, the one who drive.
Hopefully developers are paying more attention to that and less to the constant bickering, arguing about details and ultimately never satisfied, that we read here, page after page, from the people posting on RD.
What we want is to have fun and that is what a majority of us get from AC with all the toppings.

Umm theres so much of it, its dizzying.

And everything in between those times and onward. Everything.

Were is the download for these two cars, even Google is silenced about these cars, does a member know were to find these, or are these not made for the AC game?

Yeah, I read his comments as 'We were going to add a whole load of new stuff to AC for you, but since you screwed around with it by creating the CSP, we can't now because everything would break and you would all cry.'

Well…personally I just need an updated AI so that they don’t hesitate to overtake when you drive slow around the track. Also an defensive ai line – just as in RF2 – would be a great addition. This is unfortunately out of range for modders…

Rolling starts is another thing which is missing imo.

Apart from that AC is a dream come true for me.

We know Stefano can be really emotional, and this is just one of these outburst. He (and the company as a whole) could have given us the same features, no question, just decided against it and "finished" his baby. Then clever guys went through the backdoor of this creation of his and modified it in these ways he did not even anticipate. Maybe even thinking these mods keep people from moving onto ACC (which I highly doubt)

Yes the wording above is weird by intention. Just as weird as I found Stefanos comments regarding modders "raping his creation".

I bought ACC out of curiosity although my interest in sim racing is 100% street cars. I prefer the challenge they offer me compared to GT3 cars.

I prefer real world roads and circuits comparable to Nords as well as a healthy variety of street cars. The popularity of LA Canyons and Feldbergring should be a clue to any developer as to what the community wants.

Developing a sim racing title and ignoring the obvious wants of the community seems foolish beyond all comprehension. ACC initially seemed like a direct competitor to iRacing, although its become clear its something far less than that.

If someone came along and created something similar to Forza Horizon 4 for the PC (moddable) with proper real world physics and a massive driving enviornment I'd think that be would be a major hit.

.

The popularity of GT3 in all sims would indicate that is also what the community wants.

The thing is AC took years to get to where it was when Kunos ended development. I don't think Kunos could release AC2 unless it also had a similarly large number of cars and tracks. People would see it as backwards step if AC2 only had 10 tracks and 20 cars. The complexity Kunos have added with ACC in terms of wet racing and advances in the physics engine means they did not have the resources to produce AC2 with getting on for 200 cars in a sensible timescale. Hence they opted for ACC with a more manageable number of cars and tracks.

Same here LOL I would like to know how many AC owners bought ACC.I think not many ...I just hope when ACC is finished AC2 will come so I can play it for another 6 years just like awesome AC.
All of them or almost all would be my guess.
The question is how many haven't uninstalled it yet.

Yes I recall reading all that a while back. I won't argue with that logic although I will say that there is a fair amount of bloat in the cars included in AC. The amount of Abarths and Lotus is silly. No one is driving the three 595 SS with any regularity. :roflmao:

Start out with 15 or 20 cars, perhaps Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Dodge Viper, Nissan GTR, NSX, Ford Mustang. Do a modern version and vintage version by the same manufacturer. So for example have a Porsche 992 GT3-RS and a 964 Carrera RS or a Ferrari 458 and a 512TR.

Make the focus of the game something akin to a modern version of the classic Road and Track NFS game from the PS1.

Have massive point to point driving roads with a few massive canyon roads and a few old school Nords style circuits. If all the roads and circuits are public roads or fictional then no issue with paying licensing fees.

I can't speak for anyone else but I have no interest in driving street cars on any licensed circuit except for Nords, Bridge Hampton and Trento Bondone. The up and coming massive, vintage style circuit by Fat Alfie (Fonteny) is mind blowing and while fictional it is based on real roads in France I believe. Its a testament to the level of creativity that abounds in our community and perhaps is pointing to the direction that some dev needs to go regarding a new title.
