The final preview image of the upcoming WTCR DLC for RaceRoom Racing Experience is here - give a warm RD welcome to the mighty VW Golf GTI TCR...

The VW group have had something of a troubled time over the last few years, dieselgate and a mass exodus for brands under the VW Group umbrella across a variety of different racing series having been the highlights (or should that be lowlights) of the last few seasons.

However with the every increasingly popular TCR regulations now taking something of a foothold in racing series across Europe and further afield, the troubled German brand are making a rather impressive comeback thanks to the potent little Golf GTI TCR, securing wins in numerous national TCR championships as well as fielding an impressive couple of cars for former WTCC champion Rob Huff and team mate Mehdi Bennani, although the 2018 season isn't quite shaping up the way either team or driver would like, the Golf nevertheless still represents a race winning threat, and can't quite be ruled out of the championship hunt this season.

The Golf reveal today marks the final car announcement before the new DLC is set to drop alongside a new RaceRoom update tomorrow (Wednesday), and I can assure you now the wait for this new pack of cars will very much be worthwhile... watch out for a new 'talk n drive' video tomorrow with the WTCR pack, it's a blast!

So with all seven cars now shown, all we have to do is sit back and await the fun to begin!

Fwd, you need to feed power and leg off gradually to avoid lift off oversteer. Not sure how realistic it is ?
Well, when they adjusted the liftoff oversteer on the Audi TT according to the feedback they got from the actual drivers that race these, they eventually had to dial it back down a bit based on plenty of complaints from the players about how undriveable and not fun to drive the cars have become ;)

(Or at least I believe that's how it was described.)

I can believe it. Everyone thinks they want it to be "as real as it gets" yet complains they aren't to the level of professional race drivers, when its of an equal approximation, and need it dialled down.

we seem to lose sight of the whole Realistic/fun balance at some stage
