Imola Coming to rFactor 2

Reiza Studios have confirmed the modern and historic versions of Imola will be included in the upcoming rFactor 2 'Reiza Bundle' DLC.

Having initially planned to ship four cars and two circuits as part of the Reiza Bundle DLC for rFactor 2, Reiza Studios have recently confirmed that the two Puma race cars will be added to the pack, alongside what was an unannounced new track or two...

Taking to social media earlier today, Reiza have confirmed that the new circuit set to be added to the DLC is the former Formula One hosting Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari di Imola, both in the 2018 configuration that exists today, and the rather awesome historic 1972 layout! Historic racing fans rejoice!

A well as confirmation that the new track will be Imola, Reiza have also dropped the news that the pack is scheduled to release for rFactor 2 this coming March - quite a bit later than initially planned, but reassuring to see it is set to release at long last.

rFactor 2 is a PC exclusive racing simulation available worldwide via the Steam network.

If you get the pack, make sure you try the Metalmoro AJR. It is the only car I'm really looking forward to in this DLC. Fantastic in AMS; can't wait to try it in rF2.

I agree it is one of my favorites in AMS.

Speaking of Reiza history and rfactor tie ins, I noticed in the AMS credits Marcel Offermans name. Was he part of the development team for AMS?

Pictures look great, also in ams look great for a DX9 Platform. Thanks @Reizastudios for making this track a great addition for RF2.

To celebrate it i did some laps on that circuit but.... MIKA was not in the mood to play games huhu. Enjoy it. SOON in RF2! (for me the best italian track, not like the boring Monza

)

As an American, I tend to compare tracks from around the world to American circuits. Since the latest safety updates to Imola, it 'feels' very much like Road Atlanta(Petite LeMans) in the USA due to several of the sharp turns have been softened. Similarly, some of the sharp turns at England's Donnington have been modified and it too feels like Road Atlanta. (Esses, Elevation Changes, tight in the beginning, more open for the 2nd half of the lap)

That's because it's converted from AC, so from an accuracy perspective it's up there. Lack of any lighting at night is terrible though

I just breezed through the roadmap, Yes they mentioned the UI, but pretty much status quo, adding competition features and more backend work. No date announced. Also Reiza content, working on the cockpits and bugs of the three GT paks. Some eCar improvements, the 12hr Sebring event And some upgrades to Zandvoort.
