Superb mode. I Have now upgraded to the full version as well :D
Is there anything i need to do in content manager to get the traffic? I Select traffic both ways, but i still do drive around alone.
Select the Traffic Two-Way Layout, Select RACE or WEEKEND Modes... select as many AI opponents as your computer can comfortably run... and drive.
You can try and run TRACKDAY mode, using AI Flood (New AI Behaviour in CSP settings)
You need the full version of Content Manager for this to work... And depending on your version of CM/CSP this can be buggy. However if this runs properly, it means you can run much less AI... As it despawns/respawns AI cars around you. It's a very cool feature, but is very much Work In Progress!
Any issues with TRACKDAY - Use RACE mode with around 20 - 30 AI (up to 54 Max)
So in order to use this you have to delete pit crews and alter kn5 files in the objects3d folder thus losing your pit crews for the entire rest of the game.
The "Hide Pit Crew" mod is Completely Optional. and is in no way needed to drive the track!
When installing manually, In the 'Install Guide' I instruct you to backup these files!
I also tried to make you aware, in a PM, that "BACKUP FILES ARE PROVIDED" in the download,
Trying to prevent you from looking stupid, with your incorrect review.
(As I also mention this in the 'Install Guide')
** Seeing as you claimed to have read the 'Install Guide', multiple times, and that you backed up those files anyway, and haven't lost anything... What exactly is your point? **
Awesome Rand, great that you've driven these great roads in real life, and that you can confirm the realism is very high.
Hope you have some online server meets at Newcombs, and then race or cruise the 25 miles to La Cañada :)
Cheers!
Thanks for the rating, unfortunately not... I've already pushed the AC Engines physics range limit enough as it is.
I would have loved to be able to go that far, but unless the AC engine runs as purely 64bit at it's core. It will never happen.
In LA Canyons anyway!
Thanks Sticky, glad you think LA Canyons has changed the game :)
Although it's not just me that has achieved this, huge credit goes to the awesome Ben O' Bro, and everyone else that has helped along the way!
I'd recommend downloading all of Bens awesome cars... Including his Porsche Singer!
Your Assetto Corsa install will thank you ;)
Map was so good I tried reaching for my turn signal when pulling up to a light. easily worth paying for the VIP version, it's a LOT of content (take notes, iracing!)
Does anyone know how to change the startpoints? I would prefer not starting at the top of a mountain on the freeroam VIP version
Thanks, love it that you went to use your turn signals lol :) And thanks for the support.
There is an Information_***.txt in every layout folder... With information on Pit Box locations.
Use this with the map.png to choose a layout depending on where you want to start (Pit 0 is where you start in Practice)
i give you 5 stars the same. maybe it's my problem. I downloaded the map I put it in the track folder, but it doesn't appear in the track menu, it doesn't exist!
Thanks, any issues... Check you have an "la_canyons" folder inside your assettocorsa\content\tracks folder.
Follow step by step the Install Guide.PDF... any continuing issues, post a detail report in the Discussion Thread (at the top of this page)
Also refer to the Layout Guide.PDF to make sure which layouts have a raceable AI line / cameras / etc
Thanks glad you're enjoying driving the same roads as Matt... Pretty epic that he loves LA Canyons as well.
Never know, maybe one day you'll get to drive against Matt in an online server... Never know, maybe you already have ;) lol
Thanks mate, Matt Farah certainly knows some awesome roads, to test out the cars he reviews on 'The Smoking Tire'
And thanks for the support, drive safe!
Somewhat new to Sim Racing but have been messing around with Assetto Corse for about a year. This has to be the most fun track I've found. So much to see and the roads are great to drive, cant wait to get the all acess but need to find another way to pay not a big fan of PayPal
Thanks mate, glad you're having lots of fun in the Canyons... Unfortunately with the store platform I went with there are limited to no other options. Still a lot of people online cruise/race around the Main loop, so you can find plenty of skilled drivers online to give you a challenge if you want one! :) Have fun!
Thanks Isaac, awesome that you've carved these canyons in real life, I hope you're enjoying doing it without consequence in a sim. Drive/Ride safe dude!
Great track with lots of details. Got the paid VIP version as well. I really don't understand the 1 star review from people who lack the ability to follow step by step instructions. That rating should be applied to the reviewer's own ability to follow directions.
Thanks a lot for the support, well these people don't get the years of work involved by myself, Ben and everyone else that made this possible. I believe in what goes around comes around, so they'll learn... Hopefully for their sake!
