@Sammy1011 piece of art! would be possible sharing some details on the projector(s): the image looks so sharp! I'm taking in consideration to give up on VR and this looks like a great alternative with a small footprint vs. mounting screen like simpit from NZ.

@LoeVG : Looking at your original design I would think in the direction of:
- Constructing 2 "triangles" from profile and 3 of those joints each. Connect each pair of profiles with a joint near the profile's end. By changing the joint's positions you can adjust the angle (at least in a usefull range). Of course both triangles must be the same.
- Connect both triangles with profile in the back, in the front and on top
- Connect profiles (that carry the pedals themselves) to back and top profiles
- Optional: More profiles that connect to front and back to carry a heelplate.

Hope I could make the idea clear - I'm also not good at those programs. Took me ages to plan my rig (using blender). But that was part of the fun:)

I appreaciate your thoughts. Sounds promising. I'm just bad at visualizing ideas to a model.

Just your generic simcockpit. Update with HE Sprints. Currently waiting for the 5MM plate of Simlab. There's not a lot to upgrade anymore, but there's some I want:
[Fase 2] 2020/2021
Magnetic shifter modification for the F1-rim
Upgrade to the last AM4 CPU
Better seat (more ergonomic)

[Fase 3] 2021/2023
Upgrade videocard
Fanatec Xbox hub with an U or a rectangle shaped wheel
Some cool digital dashboard (LCD)

[Fase 4] 2023/2030
Probably a Direct Drive wheel
A 49 inch ultrawide monitor
Heusinkveld H-pattern (if it ever releases

PC specs for those curious:
Thermaltake Core V1 that I modified to accept a full Sapphire Pulse 5700 and Corsair H60 cooler
i7 9700K
32GB DDR4-3000
Crucial P1 NVME SSD
Windows 10, Mac OS, Linux CentOS triple boot (I'm an SWE)
AOC C24G1 mounted on a swiveling arm attached to my desk so I can rotate it to use it for pancake gaming
Blue Yeti microphone Blackout version
Edifier speakers

Mainly I drive iRacing but lately I've been giving a serious shot at trying to drive ACC.
I also drive PC2 for career mode because it's easy to just pick up and drive, although even with custom FFB files I just feel like the FFB is like driving with my steering rack inside a bucket of rocks.

I live in Japan so a Sim-Lab GT1 Evo is just prohibitively expensive (Literally $300 more expensive than my entire aluminum profile rig with seat included cost me).

Actually quite well, I was originally concerned with the break in the middle.... but in practice, I'm looking from one Apex to the next on either side. It really only disrupts the instrument cluster, and I have a HUD for that. Honestly, I will probably pick up the third monitor eventually, but for now, I'm good.
Non the last on doing that!

FYI if you have enough horsepower in your PC, try to race in windowed screen Mode, choose a triple screen resolution in relationship with your 2 monitors, then move the windowed screen to whatever you want and get rid of those bezels on the dashboard

Just got a really nice rig from @RacingSimRigsUK. Their service was great, I'd thoroughly recommend getting in touch with Chris if you're looking for an aluminium rig in the UK. Unlike some other suppliers, they seem to have stock ready to go and (to my uneducated eye, at least) it's a fantastic product.

I went for the GT1L, which is their slightly cheaper model. It's very solid and seems like it would survive pretty much anything you could throw at it. I would not put my wrists anywhere near any wheel that could flex this thing! Massive upgrade from the playseat challenge I had before.

Finishing my racing room this weekend. Always enjoyed the challenge to find new ideas.
Built around the an awesome NJMotion 2dof rig the obvious stand out feature is obviously the tyres, race used ex-BTCC. I saw them on ebay and had to have them, I didn't even know what for at first, but it soon came to me. I've fitted them out with panels and shelves and they house the AV amp, bass shaker amps and a couple of tool boxes with accessories and extra spares. The wheel covers are made from foam board and attach using magnets so easy to pop on and off when needed. One of my fav finds was a remote control start for the PC (like a car remote) so that hangs on the tool chest. And to think if there had been no lockdown I would not have got back into racing again (after selling up a year ago) :D
