EnduRacers Modding Team and Gentlemen Racers have released build 5.00 of the impressive Flat 6 Series car mod for rFactor 2.

Having gone through various evolutions to the impressive Flat 6 mod since first releasing back in 2015, the EnduRacers Modding Team & Gentlemen Racers mod group have now come out with a surprise and rather sizable new update to these spec racing cars, updating the mod to version 5.00 and adding goodies such as the latest rFactor 2 CPM tyre model, endurance position plates, physics improvements and yet further refinements to the force feedback behaviour of the cars amongst other fixes and improvements.

The latest build isn't the final one coming to these cars either - with a further update already confirmed as in the works to accommodate the new Studio 397 shader system, currently under development before the rFactor 2 developers release to the wider sim modding community.

You can check out the full V5.00 update notes for the Flat 6 mod below:

This is a really fun car to drive. Just can't forget to blip the throttle on downshifts.

Great car and update. I do wish we could get the more modern version that blips throttle on downshifts though. I can do it manually, but the modern cup cars don't do that anymore.

Is there any one out there that still thinks that there are no good mods for Rfactor 2?

Great job guys! It feels fantastic!

I was feeling tempted to reinstall rF2, but then I remembered the oatmeal smoke and lost the will.

I'm risking sounding ungrateful but I'm gonna say it.

I love this mod I have loved it for years, it's truly one of the best pieces of content in sim racing.

But, I wish they would update the car to a more modern version.

So the old versions of this mod were completely unrealistic, has this new one changed that?

A long time ago, yes. Within the endurance mod. In this update the new contact patch model from the latest S397 DLC's has been added. And more...

Exactly, so why paying for expensive 'official' DLC?

I would have paid £10 for the flat 6 mod. The amount of time I've put in to that mod is insane. In fact, is there a donate button?

I think people should be allowed to charge for quality work and I'm more than happy to continue to pay for things I enjoy.

Of course, I don't argue with that.
It's only that I still like this mod and the official DLC doesn't make better racing.
I don't need to keep up with the latest DLC and to find that within 3 months the previous DLC is already obsolete.
Besides, there's always some disappointments with the official DLC.
Actually Enduracers are doing a better job than S397.

I don't understand what your point really is. Are you saying that official DLC should be free?

Or are you saying that offical DLC doesn't offer a better experience so we shouldn't buy it?

Really not sure what your point is.

No I don't, but to me it's not worth it.
To me it doesn't offer a better experience and whether to buy it or not that's up to you.

When I took the first laps with these cars, I cursed them. In the meantime, they are among my favorites in RF2.
One of the top mods for RF2,
