I'm on a Phenom II X4 with a RX580, so pretty CPU bottlenecked
This is one cool mod !! Immersion level has definitely increased with night racing ! I recommend Daytona Road course
It is an amazing mod
Not sure if alien abduction (I dunno if that's bloom going crazy or what, it's natural PP and some random weather mod)
Can we get a list of tracks that have been modded to include night track lighting? I know the Le Mans track is one of them and is absolutely stunning. Are there any others?
Multiplayer with lights and the beginning of a functional mirror and maybe even visible tyre deformation eventually as well. Eeeep!
Very cool video After_Midnight
Macau looks looks so realistic, with the right settings
I've been meaning to try this mod but abit worried it will break my install ha (tho I do have a backup)
The main page https://acstuff.ru/f/d/28-shaders-patch-dynamic-lights is kinda hard to follow, is v0.1.22 the latest version? Will it be completely uninstalled if I disable it in CM/JSGME? The page mentions restoring original shaders when uninstalling the mod, where are these located in the assettocorsa directory to backup and restore?
I have gbWSuit installed for night time, I assume it works well this the dynamic lights mod?
1.22 is very old, there is a much more optimized version you can try (albeit not final):
I cant dl anything from that link and the acstuff page is a mess.
What is the latest version number? Is the latest in this list?
No, wait a second i send you the link to access the discord channel:
The latest version is v0.1.23-preview25 (you can find it under "updates").
Thanks, got preview 25. As mentioned earlier, will it clean uninstall using JSGME or CM and should I back up vanilla shaders (which folders?) Dont want to break my game ha. Thanks
I installed it using CM (just drag the zipped file into the "content-mods" page, then click on the hamburger menu on the top right and install the package). No shaders to be deleted or backed up (I guess!, at least no issue for me so far), you can disable the thing in the content-mods page.
So nice. Did a MP Spa night race last night ( with AssettoByNight - with a bit of cooperation you can make that work for MP ), very interesting experience. Have to say it lacks the blinding intensity of the real lights, but I'm not complaining
For mods like that or gbW I always use JSGME and never had a problem. Never crashed my game, if this is what worries you. On the other hand, shaders mod doesn't overwrite or modify anything of the original game I believe
^ Thanks guys. I took the plunge and installed . . . oh my . . .its magnificent!
I did a 10 car race first becasue I feared it would tank my fps but suprisingly it was perfectly smooth, might stuggle with my usual larger gids though.
One thing, is it possible to boost the headlights power, can hardly see anything in cockpit ha
I think the problem there is the lack of ambient light in the cabin, if you mean "I can't see the inside of the car" - the road is definitely lit up though. Not sure what the best approach to a little cabin light is, really it should be from the weather system I guess.
