Welcome to the RD Racing Club.

It's the 6th and final round of the @Fat-Alfie championship we're going to the longest track on the calendar. Fonteny. It has literally everything that a racetrack can have. And again the scenery is beautiful.

This track is a huge joy. Had a few laps last night just for fun. The outlap is a bit long though and cutting turn 1 accidentally to get the first flying lap banned can be a little pain. :p

Just a thought. What about all drivers have to post a lap time before the race to qualify. Due to lap length of course. Would save a lot of time on race day.
Good idea!

Aaah Fonteny, I have to relearn this track every time I race here.. It just doesn't fit in my head haha. Tracks this long should come with pacenotes :p

I don't know how to set that up but that would then favour the sad folk like me who are happy to pound round for hours getting a time in.

The qualification is set for 30 mins so you should get an out lap and two hot laps.

To be honest, qualifying won't make much difference here. There are plenty of places to pass and you'll finish where you deserve to be. Survival will be the key.

I can reduce practice by 10 minutes so we can get on to qualifying sooner.

OK, I've made the changes to the event so it's 30 mins practice and 50 mins qualifying.

To avoid waiting too long after qualifying has finished I've reduced the overtime period to two minutes. So bear that in mind when starting your final lap.

@HF2000 might want to make the same changes for his race next week.

I've qually at 30 min. Will be enough for 3 laps in total so two hotlaps. And overtime at 600s to avoid people getting disqualified in the race.

Slight change of subject but does anyone have a recommendation for gloves? I'm currently using an old pair of Sparco karting gloves and these are great but getting worn out. I've now ordered three different pairs and sent them all back for various reasons...

I first tried a pair of Sparco Rush gloves but didn't like the silicon on the palms - made the contact with the wheel feel very sticky

Next up was the Sparco Hypergrip - these are a dedicated sim glove but felt very flimsy and too thin for my liking.

Finally tried the Sparco Meca 3 as the reviews raved about them as a sim glove - but again felt very flimsy and the internal seams were quite uncomfotable - so now looking for external seams.

I might have to look at real motorsport gloves - but fire retardant & FIA approved is a bit of an overkill!

I have the Meca gloves for more than a year now and I'm very satisfied with them. In combination with a CubeControls GT Sport steering wheel it feels good to me.
