AMS 2 | Beta Launches Feb 28th - What Are You Looking Forward To?

For Reiza backers, the much anticipated AMS2 Beta will go live this February 28th - what are you most looking forward to with the new game?

Now remember folks, only those are are early backers have access to the full list of cars and tracks confirmed so far for release - so please don't go and flood the comments section with "I'm looking forward to driving the xxx around xxx" - that kinda spoils the surprise for everyone else (and we are supposed to keep these things secrete anyway!).

However without going into content specifics, I'm sure we can all think of plenty of things to talk about to keep ourselves excited between now and the 28th!

So, who's excited for a first look at AMS 2???

Automobilista 2 will release as early beta on February 28th, with a full release scheduled for March 2020.

Excited about the game? Spread that enthusiasm at the Automobilista 2 sub forum right here at RaceDepartment!

Steam reporting March release. So maybe Sunday, cuss the leap year!

Edit per Reiza horses mouth

"Not on Steam. What is being sold is the whole package described in the first post. This includes the access to the Beta of AMS2. It's only buyable through here.

If you want just the base game, you can wait until release, a month from now."

Re. Early Backing Campaign (EBC):

I believe that it the period where you get the extra EBC perks ends on the 29th of February.

If you get in before the cut-off, you will receive the extra EBC perks.

If you do not, you won't.

So get in while you can if you want the extra perks.

What it earns:

  • Automobilista 2 base game (estimated @ US$ 39.99 on release)
  • Automobilista 2 Season Pass * (estimated @ US$ 99.99 on release for first 2 years of free DLCs)
  • AMS 1 + Season Pass for all DLCs (which user can send to a friend in case he already own it).
  • Reiza 51 access & voting rights in development polls
  • Automobilista 2 Beta access ** (estimate to begin late February 2020)
  • Backer Badge in User Profile
  • Early access to car templates / chance to include skin and author´s name as its driver

*AMS2 DLC roadmap for 1st 2 years so far includes:

  • Expansion Pack 1 (cars & tracks, TBA)
  • Expansion Pack 2 (cars & tracks TBA)
  • Expansion Pack 3 (DIRT PACK)
  • Legendary Race Tracks Parts 1 to 5 (each including one legendary track in various historical iterations)
With more items expected to be added.

**Automobilista 2 Beta will be similar to Automobilista Beta program in AMS1 - a separate AMS2 install on Steam available before the main game release; and after the game is released AMS2 Beta will continue to receive early beta updates and new WIP content (free or DLC) before they are deployed to the main game release.

AMS2 Beta will be available exclusively to backers and the Automobilista 2 Early Backing Campaign will close before official AMS2 is released - AMS2 Beta will not be available for new users after Automobilista 2 v1.0 is officially released.

EDIT: Edited for clarity per post #312.
