It's hard to review this car (stars wise) because sound and looks are a solid 5. However the handling is the worst I've ever experienced. The car either just doesn't turn at all or spins. When driving on touge I have to brake to like 10-20km/h to make a turn, when other cars (mods or AC default cars) have no problems. I get that the mid engine cars can be tricky to drive, but if NSX behaved like this IRL, all NSX drivers would be dead by now. And I'm not a modder but it seems like the guy did something to the cars files that prevents me from swapping handling from some other car. For some reason I had nothing but fond memories of this car from back in the day when I borrowed my friends G27 (2016 or so), so this was my first car when I bought my T300 and I thought something is broken with the wheel or that I suck at driving. Please dude, for the sake of world peace, fix the handling. The car is amazing when it comes to sound and looks, but it's literally undriveable.
Tyre temperature fluctuates whey too much, it is silly, under load mid corner they just let go and you spinout, no progression at all. Also the option to put modern tyres and semislick should be added.
Visually is amazing. The sound is great. The physics are a disaster. The car oversteers like you carrying a fridge at the back. The tires are overheating extremely quick. The mod is unplayable, unfortunately.

Try to mimic a lap in Nurburgring and you will see has nothing to do with the real NSX.

would be nicer if there is actually an option for new street tyres
Model is great but physics ? Car behaves like on plastic tires, every corner I spin up when adding a little throttle.
Completely different from v.2
Im driving 270hp version and not even thinking about 4xxhp because of tires :/
I loved this mod a few years ago, it was great. But i dont know whats happened....The cars are uncontrollable, and the tyres heat up extremely, and the car starts to spin...There is some bug, maybe it has soemthing to do with CSP....? If this will get fixed, i will rate it 5 stars. The 3D models are great besides that....
The model and sound are stunning. The handling at lower speeds is really great but at higher speeds (above 160 km/h) the car becomes undriveable. First I thought it was because of the tires but after some testing I realised the AOA CL rear has a negative value (-0.18) while the front one is positive (0.01) which is neither the meassured lift coefficient of 3rd parties or Honda. It should be roughly -0.014 (front) and -0.045 (rear). This solves the strange aero behaviour. I hope this will be corrected in which case this mod would be a straigth 5/5.
The Mod is amazing in general, excellent. But there is a problem with the tires overheating.
i figured i should re-review these gems. reading others' takes i feel like we aren't talking about the same mod, or there's some issue happening on their end.

this last update brings a heightened sense of confidence, and at times perceivably more bias towards understeer. ironically, they actually seem grippier across the board, and it feels like it's only the balance of front/rear grip that makes it easier to understeer in certain situations. it's a positive change across every option - the cars handle impressively within reasonable limits, oversteer is easily recoverable outside of egregious driver error, and most importantly they're a blast to lap in.

the lap times and g forces these cars are capable of speak for themselves. they can easily be overdriven, but that comes down to driver error. to be fair though, it is a huge contrast to the rails that come along with kunos "semi" slicks or "street" tires.

'Wow, it slides more than I suspected.'
'Pheeew, I'm sweating when this car slides like this!'
'The old model's rear end wasn't stable, the new model has really evolved...'
'I'm worn out.'

thanks again for all the work put into this beautiful collection. it's the most consistent favorite of mine, and my go-to for fun solo lapping.
Mod is great but from today I am getting stuck on setup validating and can't start race.
Honestly, I don't get what the fuss is about regarding the handling/physics of the car. I play on a Logitech G27 with modified pedals (mainly to make them stiffer) and I don't have any complaints about how the car feels. It definitely takes time to get used to the handling but that's no different from, like, ANY OTHER CAR. The cars oversteer imo is not overly exaggerated, and catching/correcting said oversteer is pretty easy for me. Like, I'm using a G27 for crying out loud. Power-sliding in this car is such a treat too.

Also, for those who think that the NSX should handle great considering it's layout and reputation in the car community, JUST LOOK at the wiki for this car FFS.

"The standard NSX has a somewhat rearward bias in its spring and bar rates, where the rear was relatively quite stiff versus the front. This means that the lateral load transfer distribution, or the amount of load that is transferred across the front axle versus the rear while cornering, is rather rear biased. This can make the car quite lively and easy to rotate at low speed, but during high speed cornering, this effect becomes more pronounced and could be a handful to manage. For the NSX-R, Honda reversed the spring bias, placing stiffer springs on the front suspension along with stiffer front sway bar. This shifted the load transfer stiffness balance farther forward, resulting in more rear grip at the expense of front grip; this had the effect of decreasing the oversteer tendency of the car, making it much more stable while cornering at high speeds. Overall, the NSX-R utilises a much stiffer front sway bar along with stiffer springs than the standard NSX."

I have driven both the Standard AND the R (in the game ofc lol) and the Standard is noticeably harder to control.

For those who are complaining the handling to be "the worst", maybe you're just not good enough or haven't practiced enough?????? Like I said, it takes practice/time to get used to the handling of a car to drive it well, and that applies to EVERY OTHER CAR. If I can drive this car well, then there is no excuse why YOU can't. Not to mentioned, I'm not a very skillful driver, I'm turning 17 too this year and I have been sim racing since I was 11-12 years old. (Yes, I haven't improved much which is sad.)

At the end of the day however, my opinion on the handling doesn't really matter because I haven't driven an NSX in real life. UNTIL a review gets posted by a genuine NSX driver, only then we will be able to judge the handling of this amazingly well-modeled and crafted mod by Some1.
"Enjoy the car as it was intended by Honda engineers/designers."
Dear authors of this modification, if you think that Honda engineers wanted to create a sports car that overheats tyres at 70km/h in a fraction of a second, then according to your version Honda engineers are complete idiots. The physical model of this modification is just rubbish. You can download the modification for the sake of a superbly detailed model with great animations. Not recommended for driving. 1 out of 5.

P.S. The arrogance of the modification authors is hilarious.
Visually and acoustically, this car is absolutely stunning. I remember the days when your NSX was among the absolute benchmarks in cars for Racer.nl - that was a good 15 years ago. Thank you so much for all the effort you have been putting into keeping the NSX's legacy alive in Simracing through all these years.

What I am struggling to understand in Version 3.1 is the tire temperature behavior. A tiny little bit of slip angle is enough to let the surface temperature shoot straight through the roof in what feels like milliseconds, turning an initially manageable oversteer into an unrecoverable spin more quickly than it could be recovered.
Fantastic looking car and the sound is very accurate! I think the work you have put into it is fantastic, but the handling is a big part of the car that has let it down unfortunately. I appreciate that MR cars can be difficult sometimes to manage the back end, but this is beyond what the NSX should be doing. If you give it just enough throttle to spin up the tires with full lock on at a standstill, and as it starts to spin around you let off the throttle completely it then continues to spin around very dramatically. It's as if the flywheel is made of lead!! It is simply unrealistic. Furthermore when going into a corner a similar thing happens, beyond a specific, but shallow slip angle, it spins out, and you can not recover it no matter what you try. I've tried reacting as fast as humanely possible whilst stabilising the throttle to mesh to the road, I've tried simply putting the clutch all the way in. It's like there's an elephant stored in the boot/trunk!. Hopefully the next update will address the handling physics, then it will be probably one of the best cars, if not THE BEST!!! car mod on AC and will certainly have 5 stars easy!
I give up this mod. I go through life looking for real physics, but these beat me. I can't do two consecutive fast laps at Imola 72 without making a mistake and losing it (it's like the rear suspension bottomed out in the tamburello corner, in addition to tire temperature). I always looked for mods of the first generations of the 911 (which they say are the most difficult to drive due to weight distribution) and I don't find them so difficult. You should create one, so I compare them. Anyway, I like this mod, but I'll keep it for the AI.
Sound and models are good but the physics are a miss for me. Cars slide too easily in slow corners especially on hairpins and downhill corners.
Im giving up on this mod. Always has drove like ****, now tyres overheat in a matter of seconds making the car spinout. No fun here.
everything perfect. model, csp work, attention to detail bla bla EXCEPT HANDLING. literally undrivable.
Looks and sounds are an easy 5, the effort that went into designing those two are top-notch.

The handling just brings down the feel, don't get me wrong the nsx is tricky to drive but the car feels way too slippery. I have to slow more and get on the throttle way later than usual since tapping the gas makes the rear tires lose all grip and spin me out. I tried driving it on the srp map and it was painful, to say the least, on the straights it's good but the moment I had to deal with a curve I found myself hitting the guard rail or spinning around.

Overall though it's a mixed bag, it's a 5 for looks and a 1 for handling so I guess 3 makes sense.
i'm guessing it's the tyre models used but this car is terrible to drive - you can roll oversteer spin at 40km/h. The physics needs a lot of work and I'm not sure why everyone is raving about it.

The visuals and sound are excellent.
