Genuinely completely changes the game for the better. Vehicles like the karts are actually playable now. Got me to play PC2 for days on end, moreso than any other sim.
I had issues to control many cars with the original ffb file. I tought i'm just a bad driver. But with Christian's custom file i can drive them as it should be, no unexpected spinnings.
Literally saved the game for me. Thank you!
Thanks for the new update. I'm wondering why this time the "tighten output" is not needed anymore for logitech ? I have a G25 should I add it manually or you did add something to counter this ?
There are things in there that tighten up the force feedback around center significantly.
Sometimes I even wonder if I went a little to far with it.
Just have a go and see how it feels, if it is needed I will have to take measures in a future update.
Oh my god, this new version is great! You really hacked it well- skills!!!!
I hate when they release games with illogical systems.. .untested too probably.
Yeah, unfortunately they changed the system to suit their needs.
Personally I find Reiza their FFB in AMS2 rather lacking even when it is praised, and yes I did recently try it.
Almost there. Please keep improving this. A little more stronger Kerb and road feeling would be better i think. And i barely feel the braking slide and vibration
Thanks for the file. I will try it now on my G29. The zip only contains one custom file. Is that correct? I thought there would be different ones for different types of wheels (gears, dd, belt etc).
That is correct. This is a totally new file and I wrote it from scratch with some ideas from Hugo Vai.
This single file should now work for all wheels with default settings on wheel and in-game.
I just edited the front page to match, albeit I am still going over it to see if there are still issues.
Since the older file is still available (via the history tab here) I left the old settings in there.
The new recommended wheel settings have just been added.
I don't speak Spanish so pardon my Google Translate, but thank you for the kind review.
I hope that with the next iteration I will get much closer to ACC style force feedback, which according to my professional Formula race driver I work with is a more accurate representation force feedback wise. Especially the curb behavior.
So I will get to working on that again and hopefully fix any issues still remaining in the near future.
A real game changer! I tried alot of custom ffb files but Christiaan's custom ffb is absolutely the best one. Tried on Logitech G29 and Fanatec CSL Elite+. Thank you for all your effort!
Thanks, I still need a DD of my own. I have uploaded a v2.0 file in the past but it had huge oscillations.
I am still using a CSW v2 beta wheel on my end, so I good use a high power low drag upgrade at some point. Due to the drag and lower power I didn't notice the issues that would cause oscillation on higher end wheels.
So if any donations come in that is what I will be using them for, and in turn I would give back by improving my file more for higher end users.
What I did in v2.0 was focus really on curb feel together with a former Formula driver (who drove on the same grid as Sebastian Vettel) and now Fanatec employee.
He knew how hard curbs should hit in real life and desired to replicate that and get the game much closer to an Assetto Corsa Competitione feel.
Which we did but oscillations were an issue I had yet to resolve, and then life happened.
As said below, when I get the time I will upload the file with a little warning.
Beautiful. Thank you Christiaan! I recommend this to anyone who plays PC2 and two of my friends love it too. I think I prefer v2.0 on my G920. Maybe consider sharing that one here as a option with a warning for DD users?
