Save the date February 21st

Really happy with this news, it was really not a surprise that a new game was coming. And with all the trolls saying "But wai you no day/night cycle and ze rain???!1" it would eventually come, they even joked that whatever game they made next be it tetris or w/e it would have those things.

AC has been out a long time, and it's easily the most popular sim on this site. All you have to look at is the downloads section which dwarfs all the others in terms of activity and content. AC has been my go to, no other sim has such ease of plug an play. It's the reason why some more complicated titles suffer needlessly (rf2). Love the ffb and the physics being communicated by the screen and the wheel. I hope that is ported to this new title and improved upon.

Yah, nothing to see here. Well done @kunos, quality over quantity please and business as usual.

PS. wtf is happening with GTR3.

EDIT 1: 24hr full night day weather progression at Spa... wtf man wtf, welcome to 2018.

Well i am 100% happy, love Gt3, never tire of driving them, this is everything i could ask for.
Quality always comes from specialising on one subject, variety filters out quality and you
end up with at best a jack of all trades master of none.
And this will lead on to better things in the future.:):):):):)

GT3 only. Well that is a disappointment. GT3s are everywhere.

I understand the Italian submarine and others will lap up anything Kunos present, but the best part of AC were the varied cars. Cobra at Bridgehampton is still possibly the best sim experience there is.

They can't please everyone. Hopefully with AC2 Cobra/Bridgehampton will be a thing.

If I have to pick just one kind of car, I would pick GT3. Easy to get into, good depth, and lots of settings to mess with.

However, the reason why I finally got into car sims after so much time is Assetto Corsa, specifically that AC allows such a wide variety of cars.

To be fair, Bridgehampton is great in any car where the front and rear end are disinterested in what the other's up to! ;)

I don't drive the GT3s a lot, but for me, this announcement is a positive. Sure, I'd have loved lots of varied cars, but a tight, competitive series I can get my teeth into sounds really appealing. And, as others have said, this feels like a stepping stone, either to a fully fledged AC2, or a series of other standalone single series games (80's WSC or IMSA please if you're listening Kunos!).

I am sure they will continue to develop ACC and add some other things like road cars and other series, then they will change ACC to AC2. ( Reiza -----> stock car/Automobilita)
Then console release for sure.
100% we'll see AC2 someday, I don't think they'll ditch console gamers or something like that.
