You'd be better off with a snorkel and a pair of flippers. I think I'll have to work out how to make it run a bit better in the wet

Qualify P5 felt satisfied with effort.
Race 1
Got good start held position. After a couple cars in front of me got out of shape I moved into second prior to the tight right hand turns. On entry to the turn I was hit from behind by Peter and went off course re-entering in 5th and then went by Peter who waited on me after the incident. Put in good consistent laps the rest of the race to finish in 4th. Good sportsmanship by Peter to wait on me. Fun race!
Race-2
Made a slower start than race 1 but held position on 1st lap around 5th I think. Got into an incident with Sai as we were in a drag race on the long back stretch. On entry into the turn I clearly had position by 3/4 of car and followed a natural line into the the fast sweeping r/hander when I was pushed sideways by Sai and sent off course.
Sai you made it sound like I moved in on your line, but I had position and held an even line. You chose not to lift and pushed me out from behind. Then you continued ahead. You would have gotten by eventually because you are very fast on this track, but maybe a little to aggressive. I did watch the replay prior to writing this. Sorry Tim for the contact as I re-entered the course after the incident. Had allot of fun with some very tight and technical racing. Thanks again Yves for another great event. Marty :yo:

I apologize for the incident Marty, after watching the replay I now see you were still quite abit infront of me. I wasn't awared of that at the moment of race and I apologize for that. My ignorance action had costed your good race. I realized the 2nd time we battled on the same corner, you had let me passed by as I dont think I would be able to pass if you didn't lift off the gas. Seems like I got much to learn on my patience side.

Good Races everyone, wasn't my night that is for sure...

I was running in the 1:21's the evening before the race, but somehow forgot to save my setup and never could quite figure it out yesterday. Struggled to stay in the high 22s during qualifying and ended up P10 after the session - yikes.

Race 1: Made a strong charge in the beginning and avoided a lot of chaos on the first lap allowing me to move up into P4 and was lapping decently. Spent most of the early laps fending off Gaynall who also was able to move up quickly. Then I had a bizarre incident at the 1st gear 90 deg. turn where I seemed to have no brakes and just cruised into the grass, and by the time I re-entered I was back in 7th. Nothing much happened the rest of the race and I finished P7.

Race 2: Started 2nd and again was moving along reasonably well to start. My driving was erratic most of the race as I was taking poor lines and dropping a wheel on the grass far too many times greatly slowing me down. Was mid-pack for most of the race when Sai came charging hard and tried to make an aggressive pass near the 1st gear 90 deg. turn. He seemed to get out of shape sliding around the turn - we had some contact and he went off in the grass. I'm pretty sure I was not at fault (havent watched the replays yet) but I stopped and let him past anyway since he was fast all night and well, I was not. Ultimately finished P9 as at that point I was relatively disinterested. Alfa just wasn't up to the task this evening :/

Despite all of this, I still love that track and offer congrats to the winners!

I had watched the replay over and over again. I would admit that the corner I had choosen to overtake is a little aggressive but the replay suggested that we had collided before we even hit T5 on the tight right hander.

On our way down T4, the little tap caused us to lose the car's balance and lead to the incident up at T5. Although I was on the inside, but I had held my line all the way down T4. If you take alook at the replay then you will see my inside wheels are riding on the white line all the way down. There was no more inner room for me to go into.

To summarize this, I do admit that it was quite an aggressive place to make a move but I was well aware of the situation that I was in. The hit wasn't very big considering it was a very high speed turn. It's going to be very debatable to say who's mistake it was but I apologize for costing a good race of yours as I saw you were battling against the group infront of you. Hopefully we all will have better races in the future
