As announced last week in the forums RD received a download link to a file that we couldn't immediately get to work. After a lot of days crunching Ramon with the help of some our community members finally got this Factor 2 developer version running smoothly.

factor2.pngTaken from a dev presentation PC this software will give all our registered members the chance to taste what Factor 2 has to offer first hand. It's brings two layouts and three fast machines in one simple download manager. So technically we don't host the files ourselves just the download manager with installation key.

We realize that with our actions we might cross any legal boundaries that jeopardize the release of the full version later this year, though the opportunity that was given to us was just too good to be ignored and we are just going to share it anyway.

We hope that the upcoming months untill the release of the full game you will be able to exclusive enjoy Factor 2 here with us at RaceDepartment. It's just a matter of time that we will kick off our first high quality leagues and club races for this sim of sims!

Click this link to download the install manager or click here to discuss this release in the forums.

Do not forget to use the license key to activate the game!

UPDATE: Thanks everybody for a great April Fools' Day :thumb: Let's hope we have a real rFactor 2 announcement soon!

The inaugural Clio Euro Series kicks off this summer and the calendar has been announced. Check it out below.

This league was designed in mind of an entry-level, low maintenance arm to the Touring Pro Series brand, and this is exactly what the Clios provide. These cars might be small in stature, but their low power, limited set-up options and ease of driving make for big excitement. This league will use a lightly modified Clio Cup 2008 mod.

The first season will comprise of 6 events, consisting of double-header 60km sprint races at each meeting with superpole qualifying for both races. The tracks in this series have been picked with the Clios in mind, having proven history or shown great promise in providing close racing.

First off we go to the brand new 2011 layout of Donington Park National. A traditional venue for Clio Cup UK, Donington is a real drivers favourite, with the new chicane adding a fresh element to this classic track. From there we move on to Toban Short; often underestimated, this default rFactor track provides great action with it's flowing layout.

For our third event we head back to the UK and Thruxton. This high-speed circuit requires delicacy and is a real challenge, often providing closely packed slipstream racing. Our fourth event sees us travel back into Europe and Czech Republic's 'second' track, the wonderful, technical Most GP layout.

Heading to our penultimate event brings us to Italy and the beautiful Varano de Melegari, where the tight and twisty confines of the circuit really allows the Clio's chassis to shine. And for our grand finale we utilise the fantasy Magnificent Park National. This high speed, wide and simple track will become a classic in future for sure and is a fitting venue for the season's end.
