Probably due to the openness of USA records. I'm thinking back to one of the Tour de France wins, most likely by Armstrong, they did not push the doping allegation(at the time) due to the probability that riders who finished 2nd, 3rd, & 4th(as well as many others) would have all tested the same.

and this thread again proves that national pride in whatever form is the dumbest invention mankind ever made. it cost millions of life already and here we are again with nationalism on the rise where blue-eyed me thought the 20th century had taught us a lesson or two. can't we just look at the facts: a team was caught cheating and loses two cars in the standings, other teams have been cheated out of their podium moment (it's the worst bit about this piece of news and we argue about lance armstrong????). who cares whether anyone else cheated in any other sport at any other time?
