For the 1.80 version some armco will be replaced bij wooden fences. Others will be removed.
The track will still be a "modern" track though. So the kerbs will stay.
At this moment they are repaving the real N379-Drentsemondenweg. That means new tarmac and lines. These updates will also happen on the Hondsrugring.

I have started now with redesigning the place name signs. Also other signs are being build. After this a lot of new buildings are on the list for sketchup.

Erwin, d'you happen to have an Xpack with Dutch farms and similar rural stuff? I'm working on something out in the country, and for several other tracks it could also be useful.

This will be the last post before releasing version 2.0
First i want to thank everyone who helped me constructing this huge piece.
The thanks list will be added to the 2.0 version.

What kind of track will the new version be?
Expect more bumps and a narrower track. The starting grid will now start on a cobble road, instead of tarmac. A lot of new road textures are used. The escape road at the end of the Drentsemondenweg has a new layout. The Tweederdeweg-Noord is now divided by a chicane. At places there is less run off.
After that the Assen 1953 project will have the full attention. When that project is finished, the Hondsrugring will be changed again, when the track will be made longer, when some 9 miles/ 15km will be added to the 14.1 mile/24km track. Also a shorter version will be released.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the 2nd and updated version of the Hondsrugring 1.0 and 1.5 version.
The last and final 3.0 version will have more authentic buildings, markers and road textures. Also there will be 3 extra layouts be added.
- Short version. (19km): Bypasses Gasselternijveen chicanes and Drentsemonden weg. Also Drouwen will be bypassed.
- Long version (around 48km): Stadskanaal will be added to the track.
- Known version will have 3 chicanes at the Drentsemondenweg.
INTRODUCTION

The Hondsrugring is a fantasy track, which comprises public roads between villages like Buinen, Drouwen, Gasselte and Buinerveen.

FEATURES:

- A wide range of different tarmac and cobble roads.
- Night races are possible now, with help from lighting poles, cat-eyes and hectometre markers.
- A wide pitroad and up to 60 pit spots.
- Fog settings add a bit of realism.

There are two bugs i still haven't solved yet:
Yellow flags are shown at practice when entering the final corner before the pit.
Cars slide straight on at hairpin. It looks that this is mainly a Car-mod problem.

I noticed two problems at the track which i had not found earlier. So i had to take the track offline. I have updated the track and will release it in a moment.

In a half an hour the updated track is uploaded.
