- increased resistance to damages to prevent AI to pit in for small aero damages
- increased driver seat position range (use LEFT or RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON then drag mouse to adjust view)
- removed bump maps from Morgan/ViperCC/350Z cockpits because of cartoon/plastic effect
- removed spa invisible wall in pits
- updated Enna tyres stack with moving ones
- updated 996CUP #123/124 ugly safety net with nicer one from ViperCC
- updated 996 RS with 3 styles : Motec+H gearbox / Motec+Seq gearbox / Stack+H gearbox
- updated all MoTeC/Pi/Stack fonts, display and cube maps, added red zone to Stack and added rev limit to MoTeC
- added 996 GT3 R versions
- added missing brakes/tyres temperatures motec line : now available in ALL cars (cycles show lap time, oil/water/tyres/brakes temperatures)
- added specific Ferrari/Porsche brakes
- added missing #109 Porsche GT3 CUP from 24h Spa 2003 event
- added laptimer to all cars with flags/pit icons
- added missing safety net in #108 C5R cockpit
- added wipers and dirt/rain effects on side windows
- fixed many black polygons on some cars
and many more (as CocaCola I will not give my detailed recipe because of people copying my work but you must know that there are more than 300 patches) during 7 long years of work on this project...

No kenny there are no key to toggle wipers because it is an automatic animation whenever it rains. I would have preferred to record Pcars rain animation but it requires to make a nude car with windscreen only and to be in front of a plain green wall : modding required...it was easier for me to do that with RaceOn :D

I have done m3gtr, z3 and c5r today so it will be finished...when it will be finished :D
I may be able to wire a button to toggle different animation if we somehow manage to pack them both into the same car. But not sure when I will have time.
 
Has anyone had problems with running GTR2 on an Nvidia graphics card?
It's just that on my 2060 Super gaming rig I seem to be getting weird frame drops/screen tearing at around half race distance every time, this with the 4GB patch and Lasso running.
I had the same issue on my old 1060 6GB equipped PC, but if I run it on my laptop-that only has a basic Intel HD chip- GTR2 runs for the full race without any problems.
Was hoping that some people here might have had any similar things in the past, Cheers
 
I have an old nvidia without such issue, @Bjarne Hansen has got gtx970+rtx2070 and they both work fine too.
Did you follow ALL install instructions in hq anniversary patch readme+install.txt ?
There is a major memory leak in original DucFreak UI MOD which can give such issue you encountered, it is been fixed since hq anniv. Patch v15.0.
I have written memory advices in readme too

I haven't actually got the patch installed right now on my main PC as I couldn't get CC to function, but it was the same even when I had it installed.
I do have the patch on my laptop with the Intel HD card, I've also tried running the game 100% vanilla on my PC and I get the same issue, which makes me think it's a more fundamental problem
 
Did you check your PC components temperatures yet ? ....
This might be the problem or maybe also a crappy Nvidia driver ( that happens also ).

Maybe also a Nvidia driver update when it's often updated and the previous versions not fully deleted.

Personally I had a GTX1060 6GB and now a RTX2070 Super 8GB and never noticed what you mention for GTR2.
At the time of the 1060 I noticed such problems with ACC ( even with very low graphic settings ) and the main reason was the CPU overheating.

NB: when I find a good driver I mostly don't change until a next GPU change or problems. :D

Thanks for the replies guys, yeah temps are all good.
Interesting idea about the driver though, I normally just express install rather than do a comprehensive fresh one, that's something I'll try.
It's just strange I've had it on two separate PC's, must be something like the driver to cause a problem of this nature
 
How about some more details.
Specifically:
No. of cars and class
Track, weather, time, race length and anything else you think might be useful.
Maybe see if I can duplicate it with my gtx 960 as so far I'm having no problems either.
Well I'm noticing it in everything I do, I mainly run the FIA GT 2000/09 mod but everything else I've tried does the same thing, tracks included.
Timewise I just leave on the default (12pm I think), laps I normally go for 11, then the issues begin at around 5/6 and get progressively worse as the race goes on.
The first laps are absolutely silky smooth and fine, consistent.
It seems to be a universal problem across all game modes/content.
 
Ah yes good point, the issue is present in the short practice/qualy sessions I have completed too.
Yeah I honestly wouldn't worry too much about deep testing as it clearly sounds like a problem on my end, I'm grateful enough or the replies so far as I have a couple more things to try
 
I used to have issues with Gtr2 and my slightly overclocked Gpu that didn't show up in other games and didn't show up in benchmarks

It could show like yous but for the most ended with a CTD
I am using driver version 357.30 without those older issues.

Another issue I had was my my computer was hijacked by miners which gave same the issues as you have.
The mining load on Gpu would slowly crank up it did effete other sims but mainly Dx9 sims

Used one of those malware removed with a basic fee version that worked great
Think it was bitdefender but not sure anymore.

Not sure what cpu you uses but having Gtr2 run one more than 2 core general double the fps.
Also to run your Gpu more cool and be able to crank up to higher turbo speed you should limited your fps to 120-180 fps or what ever you can run in and like. Might still dip slightly at race start in the rain nor at night but with a RTX 2060 super it should only be for 10- 15 seconds, if you enable the cpu to run on 2 core or more. or all cores.

Regarding can't run Crew Chief. To to fix your computer so you can run a basic Gtr2 install first and CC will likely run. If not come back and we will help you getting that sorted.

Yeah I got CC working by removing the anniversary patch, adds a whole level of immersion to the title.
I seem to have made good progress by reinstalling the Nvidia driver (461.40) completely fresh, while the choppiness is still there (pretty much exclusively when I run over/hit curbs) it is greatly reduced and significantly less annoying than in the past, I'm finding myself able to stay immersed and stay in my rhythm in a way I wasn't able to before.
Thanks again to everyone that posted, I'm really grateful that I've finally made good headway with the issue and it's very much appreciated :)

hmmmh...I asked you if you read readme.txt and install.txt : obviously not because answer is clearly written to make CrewChief work with HQ Anniversary Patch, plus I would say HQ Anniversary Patch is THE ONLY solution to make CrewChief work if you don't have Steam version but only original DVD.
ANSWER is GTR2_SETUP with 32 pages of tweaks, and what you must do to make CC work is to type 2 at page III, then update fov at page IV then plr at page V because clipplanes must be set differently whether you chose 1 or 2 at page III.

Do you use ENB Series or/and XD or map plugin ?
If you don't use them you may install Anniversary Patch, start the setup.cmd and choose the other GTR2.exe
With it CC will work but not the ones I mentioned above.....

as GTR233 just wrote while I was writing this message. :roflmao:

This is a really nice result, will be nice for the future, that i have also a newer pc run-machine, will test after over 18 Years ATI-Grafigs (today AMD) to Nividia.
With this fps, the FFB Setting is easier and feels better in every Situation.
