Plus,
- increased resistance to damages to prevent AI to pit in for small aero damages
- increased driver seat position range (use LEFT or RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON then drag mouse to adjust view)
- removed bump maps from Morgan/ViperCC/350Z cockpits because of cartoon/plastic effect
- removed spa invisible wall in pits
- updated Enna tyres stack with moving ones
- updated 996CUP #123/124 ugly safety net with nicer one from ViperCC
- updated 996 RS with 3 styles : Motec+H gearbox / Motec+Seq gearbox / Stack+H gearbox
- updated all MoTeC/Pi/Stack fonts, display and cube maps, added red zone to Stack and added rev limit to MoTeC
- added 996 GT3 R versions
- added missing brakes/tyres temperatures motec line : now available in ALL cars (cycles show lap time, oil/water/tyres/brakes temperatures)
- added specific Ferrari/Porsche brakes
- added missing #109 Porsche GT3 CUP from 24h Spa 2003 event
- added laptimer to all cars with flags/pit icons
- added missing safety net in #108 C5R cockpit
- added wipers and dirt/rain effects on side windows
- fixed many black polygons on some cars
and many more (as CocaCola I will not give my detailed recipe because of people copying my work but you must know that there are more than 300 patches) during 7 long years of work on this project...

Flickering headlights are still a thing, correct? Any updated workarounds?
which flickering ?
- if you speak about porsche 996rs/rsr then I have made a hotfix 14.4.3 to apply over 14.4.0
- if you speak about general flickering textures then nocd1 has got less flickering than digital nocd2 but you won't be able to run GID, CC or native VR
- if you speak about headlights flickering by night and from cockpit view then yes there is a workaround that I did for HQ tracks : replace the first clipplanes line you find in all your tracks in TRK file with notepad
clipplanes=(0.5,99000)

Moreover, when you run GTR2_SETUP.BAT and you choose a nocd version at page III then you MUST also select at page IV a HQ defviews.cam file (pick fov 60 if you don't know which one to choose) with clipplanes especially modified for the nocd version you have selected in order to reduce a lot of flickering

Not a problem unless you like low fps :D
But try on one track.
If you use the Steam version of Gtr2.exe this will not solve the headlight and under car shadows flicker on some tracks anyway.
Try Brno and check if it helps.
Enlarging the far clip plan will drop the fpsy drawing things you will not even see in the distance and can make lite texture flicker that wasn't there before.
But it it works for you than that is good.
 
Totally reworked driving school mod for PnG3 : 17 different physics are available now for 911iroc, Viper engine into this car is great on nordschleife :)
I have also enabled ghost/instructor car this time : it is available right now here

We enter the 15th year of GTR2...but I still continue to bring updates :)
Just started today to add rain/dirt on side windows for a better immersion
Also noticed that one of the 2 corvettes has got safety net, Simbin did it in external view, on right window only though, but nothing in cockpit : it's fixed now 15 years later :D

Have fun with those side windows ;) .... that's surely a lot of work, Paul, as I suspect you have to separate those side windows from the main one in order to prepare them with rain or/and dirt. ( and of course afterwards put them back at their original place.

NB: I just did it once for a mod and this was the only solution to get the result working fine, as it needs a "Rescale Tex".
 
can we use the patch now in vr?
yes 14.5.0 is fully compatible with crew chief and native vr but not by default, I mean just after installing hq anniv. patch you must run GTR2_SETUP.BAT and select RaceRoom binary (answer 2 at page III) then update fov defviews at page IV and PLR at page V (you can rename "PLAYER" by your name)

@Jempy : yes this is it, long work as I have just finished 24h class after 2 days of work...and waste some time with last ViperCC : I was happy on track with dirt and rain effects till I realized this car has no side windows :D
 
@The Iron Wolf helped me to fix a major issue in DucFreak GTR2 UI MOD : there was a huge memory leak due to a bootloop which eats your free RAM (1mb every 5 seconds) and you may experienced CTD after long play session because you run out of free memory at some point. I spent 4 days to check the 50 000 lines of gtr2ui.mnu but it was not a waste of time as I noticed many useless entries (leftover from gtr1 or abandoned WIP) so I deeply cleaned UI and now GTR2 UI is much more responsive and It is as fast as original low resolution GTR2 menu...but in HD :)
Plus I removed background images (only 1 carbon texture for all pages) to get more free memory for the mods/tracks.
Will be soon available in HQ Anniversary Patch v15.0.0 :)

I edited my post to add precision : I meant DucFreak UI is as fast as original GTR2 now that memory leak is fixed and that I removed useless entries which are not displayed on screen but loaded in RAM.
 
I have captured RaceOn wiper animation then applied it over AL raindrop animation texture at 20fps to keep good framerate. Each frame is in 1024*1024 but raindrop resolution is a bit lower than actual one in HQ Patch v15.0 : indeed, due to wiper animation, I need to use full image and no more a pattern repeated XX times.
It is lot of work because it need lot of texture remap for each car : do you think it worth it ? I have only made m3gtr at the moment so if you want it in next HQ Anniversary Patch then you will have to wait at least 1 month...

No kenny there are no key to toggle wipers because it is an automatic animation whenever it rains. I would have preferred to record Pcars rain animation but it requires to make a nude car with windscreen only and to be in front of a plain green wall : modding required...it was easier for me to do that with RaceOn :D

I have done m3gtr, z3 and c5r today so it will be finished...when it will be finished :D
