Are you using medium tyres with the standard setup?

If you dig around in earlier RD club races, you should find some setups for the GT3 cars & videos that help with your racing line etc.,.

I wouldn't get too worried about lap times around Spa. My advice would be to try & find a consistent race pace.

I was but having trouble keeping them warm so I switched to soft. Thanks, i'll look back in the history.

2.23 is pretty good for a first time !

Well, I've done a few hours practice now. I can consistently do 2:25 but if I push I have issues with some of the more raised inside kerbs which spin me around. Getting smoother tho. I saw people going flat through Eau Rouge on YouTube but I can't find a line with the standard setup that works. So I go far right on entry, cut to the left apex then blend off throttle up the hill, keep WELL away from the right kerbs and take as much of the left as I can on the way through without cutting and then i've got good speed for the straights which seems to be the key around Spa.

All good fun. I used to race with UKCD a few years back on my old setup, but I sold it all a while back and bought all new stuff and a rig a few months back so getting back up to speed. So not quite new but open wheel was my thing back then.

Then John told me a small lift as you attempt to flick it right after the first curbs on the left is almost as quick, and that has proved true.

I can only take it flat in the 650S and Z4, but some bright spark did say, they are not as quick at the turn point, which may be a contributing factor.

i can assure you I will not be flat out in the Nissan GT-R

I have some setups for the 911, spent some time with this car, and yes, it is not a lover of curbs that for sure, especially if you accelerate on them .

Thanks, that would be useful. Like Chris says, practice is the key, i've picked up a ton of time just in the seat! More today. Time to refine the 2:23 and get some consistency.

I'd love to test any GT3 setup here. No matter what I do with the R8 and any other car, I can't find the same pace as in other tracks in relation to other racers.

I love Spa but hate it for hating me.

PS: Unfortunately I can't race on Sundays but would love to drive this track with the Escort on a Wednesday event. Mugello was a blast...

I have made it safe, less pointy at the front, so bear that in mind, if it is too unstable for you, add more wing.
I can take Eau Rouge flat in the Porsche with this setup.
if you can try your best to always have some accelerator applied, try not to coast in corners, easier said than done for me.
If the setup was for me I would do a bit of tweaking with the front ABR, diff settings and front splitter and rear wing, that is mainly aimed at Reik.
I am pretty hopeless with GT3, luckily I know why.

Yes, there is a mandatory pit stop in which you have to do something to your car (refuel and/or change tyres).

Also don't worry too much about too many subscriptions, OSRW Spa can host more drivers than what is shown in the first post, Chris will just add slots as needed.
