I had the same problem as you: no cars to drive except the Camaro!
I uninstalled the game and made another install WITHOUT sync this time(as said GamerMuscle somewhere else)!!! And it worked

When people have problems with Marcas Sync do this:

At sync choose options and then prefer main server.
It works for me.
Multiplayer is not released yet.

Michael I have also been playing around with both rfactor and GSCE plugins fir both Fanaleds and for my Sim Instruments dash and neither bit of kit or plugin has worked yet.

There must be a slight tweak to a file some where that Reiza has made for this game that means these plugins won't load.

It's shame as I miss my read outs when driving now but apart from that this is a cracking little sim.

I cant get it to work. I reinstalled. I tried with and without Sync.
Always the same, just a crash file error and thats it.

I totally agree that sounds are the weakest part of reiza's work in generall. But at least its quite easy to find some screaming inline 4 replacement sounds. Who knows maybe i replaced them already with some power & glory ones

I think you got me wrong there...
The problem isn't the sound samples (I actually think they're very good).
It's the way the engine samples were disposed in relation to each other that is the problem.
The transition from low to mid, then mid to high (etc), isn't seemless. It happens in both ON and OFF throtle. Same thing when you're accelerating and then deaccelerate... the pitch is mismatching.

When I mentioned fixing, I ment rebuilding the .SFX file for each car (which isn't in the game, if you noticed, I guess for piracy reasons).
This is why I mentioned that not everyone has the knowledge or patience.

To resume, the samples are pretty damn good IMHO, the engine sounds just need fine tuning, like the strings in a guitar need tuning.

Too bad, there is no option to reduce FOV less than 35 as it is in GSC, because with a (almost) feeling of sitting on a rear seat, game is undrivable for me (using 25 - 27 FOV on triple in all racing games).

It's a lot of fun by the way, easy to drive but not boring.

Only ran a short race in the Chevrolet, and it's pretty good. In terms of graphics it looks pretty much the same as GSCE to me, though I did get a hint of stuttering.

I also like the presentation, while the UI is basic the color scheme works well. Oh, and I prefer the HUD to the GSCE one.

In the main folder. It is called Marcas if you did not change it. Just creat folder called rfm.

Do you have a rFm folder in the root of the install? All I did was create this folder and the game started right up.
