Kunos just need to do something on the online to avoid mad drivers and crashers.
@Eric Driven A couple of servers run a plugin (server side, nothing required by the driver) that rates every driver and server admins can select which level of drivers they accept on their server.
If you want more info on that look at: http://www.minorating.com/Project
Servers running this plugin usually have something like "MR [ABC]" in their name, telling you about it's presence and the allowed grades. IMO it works pretty well and attitude of drivers is much better on those servers.

Nice!
Will try it.
Thx mate

I'm away from the wheel and PC for a few weeks (Woo christmas etc...)

I am hearing good things about the content which isn't a surprise as Kunos just know how to make quality cars and track. I'm hearing many good things about the updated netcode. I'd love to see some online play post this update and see how improved the netcode is for myself.

P.S - The 25 and 72 look amazing but that 650s front end. Phwoar!

Can confirm its a massive improvement, particularly the handling of packet loss. Did some testing with a few fellow RDers this evening. We had two instances of Netflix streaming, 3 YouTube videos streaming in HD and it was solid as a rock and totally smooth the entire time,

Also, the collisions are improved too, so now it's time to bump draft :D

Apparently the front and back collisions are improved, the side to side collisions are still explosive. When I bumped into Rodrigo it was an extremely low speed scrape to his side and I did like full on pirouettes off the track like his doors were filled with c4 that detonated on impact. :D

Regarding DP3 sounds, I think KS continues to improve their sounds steadily. The gap between AC and most other titles with great sounds is narrowing. There are certainly some things missing, some that can be better and a few that are just plain wrong (old backfire sounds) but, it's good that they continue to refine their methods.

I'll still use Fonsecker's sound mods where possible but, the current trend for stock AC sounds is improving and the overall replay race sound environment is really quite good in either case.

Overall, DP3 is great, Brands is superb and I certainly like the GT cars but, the Escort and Abarth turned out better than I imagined.

I run Audio Technica M50x headset running on an o2 amp. It's a great audiio setup. The sounds are unapologetically dull in this pack, nothing wrong with my rig. :)
The audio is just average for nearly every car in game. I couldn't agree more. One minute with R3E and you'll hear what a racing sim is capable of. I have great speakers and have tried multiple sound cards. AC sounds like my first sound blaster 16 did, awesome for 1990. It's my only real complaint. That and single player pit stops

Yes driving as we speak!
Its very good, although id like more cars and more tracks when we talk about DREAM PACK

R3E sounds are good but, I think Dirt Rally has outdone it by quite a bit, both internal and external.

The sound team at CM have nailed interior resonance, engine note, turbos & BOV, backfires, etc. The externals are second to none IMO, with great range between approach / departure sounds and environmental effects. They are said to be still working on a few car sounds but, overall, fantastic stuff.

I tried all the cars tonight, they're really great.
I think me and my friends will have lots of fun with the Lotus 25, it's better than karting! lol

The only car which made me feel "meh" is the Lamborghini Gallardo", but maybe only cos it's not my style.
I LOVE lamborghini, but really I don't feel anything for these modern all-electronic cars.
I prefer the older ones.

Brands Hatch is great, better than the one I downloaded from this website a few months ago.
Very realistic and every bump make me jump with joy. lol:giggle:

About reflections...
Is it only me, or it requires now 200% LESS cpu? lol:confused:
My computer used to SERIOUSLY slow down when I used reflections in the past,
but now it seems really ok so far.
At last I'm going to enjoy driving with reflections now! lol

Oh and..
What does this means? =>
"- HDR now matches real life photographic references"
I don't think I noticed any difference, but I'm not sure.
Also, I still use my own customized filters.:)
I tried the Kunos ones, but they were as bad as usual.:poop: (desaturated, terrible lighting, no DOF... Is it only me? I mean, they're really UNUSABLE)

Headlights look real nice on some cars.:)
Too bad we can't drive at night.. Ouch! Don't hit me! ok ok I shut up! :whistling:

It might be a placebo effect or something, but I think I do see some improvements on the digital instruments in many cars.
It's looking as realistic as it can get.

I didn't get the "CPU>99%" error tonight.
We'll see tomorrow how it works out.
