That is basically what I do Tomas, except I use the app for camber, ( camber extravaganza )
I have recently been drawn away from using that of late.
Not entirely convinced with respect to the different cars I have driven of late.
I am thinking of going the MoTeC route, problem is with so much information available I tend to get so side tracked, I loose the very reason I was using it in the first place.:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

I had same problem when I started using it :roflmao: Now I check only difference in tyre temps between in and out of tyre, max 7 degrees. I check if camber isn’t getting higher then -0,5 and setup tyre pressures. The rest I leave on my feeling of the car and it works for me.
 
I've found that even on a flat curb (i.e., @ turn 5) the car can be problematic, so I've had to change my approach to a lot of corners. I think that's why I'm much slower than I am in all the GT3 cars that I've tested/raced on this track :(

Cup car is slower then GT3s. It has less downforce overall and has no driving aids. But is definitely much harder and rewarding to drive. I try to avoid curbs as much as possible and if I go over them, I use max. half throttle and very little steering, almost let it go in straight line pointing at the exit already. What helps massively is getting fast bumps to almost zero and fast rebounds keeping around 9 on both ends.

But both GT3 R and Cup are in AC **** over kerbs. I was driving Lambo last week during Joel’s Multiclass setion and it was night and day to 911. It was eating all the curbs like 911 is eating back tyres :D
 
Nice letters you all wrote here and everyone is right, even the direction of your setups is same as mine. And @Kek700 almost said it out loud...this car is just a B*TCH :D Even if you get perfect setup, the car just needs gentle, precise inputs. I have to say I am very satisfied with the setup right now in terms of driveability, but have done very weird things to it and I am very curious, how the others will go on Monday:)

What I really don’t get is what people from Kunos and modders community have against 911? Especially 991 generation? 997 was pretty hard to drive on limit, but 991 is night and day in real life and very complete car.

What I can recommend to anyone is the most famous thing about 911:

Slow in, fast out.

Just brake a bit earlier, get off the brakes slowly, but keep just small amount of pressure till you hit the apex. Turn it around the corner just a bit and floor it. It will be the fastest thing on next straight, no matter what you drive against (maybe Bulls or Godzilla is from time to time a bit faster). Only problem is it is soo hard to get just right :roflmao:

Really looking forward to the race, it will be fun for sure;)

With regard to anyone having something against the 911 I admit I've always avoided it, I guess it's down to personal driving style and the 'Marmite' factor; you either love it or hate but nothing in between. Might be tempted to use it for the Kyalami race after all:confused:

So true :D And as Ernie says the RSR is much better car in terms of balance and so is Cayman, especially GT4. I had a chance to drive GT4 and 911 GT3 back to back and the 911 feels suddenly slugish and heavy. Only thing that keeps it from Cayman is the power and endless grip on rear tyres.

If Porsche would make Cayman with same amount of power as 911, it would instantly get it. But for 911 plays another factor and that is it’s unicorn thing. Cayman is yet another great mid engine car, but 911 is something so different to any other sports car and still can in great hands plays with those other Ponnies, Kiwies, Bulls and etc.

So I am the one who loves 911, but I think you all already know that :roflmao:
 
I am alright in predictable, like the escort RS , not good but ok.
We’re I know it is going side ways.
It’s the unpredictable that I do not have the “built” in reflexes for or skill come to that.
My favourite car has always been the 911, just cannot invest the time or patience to get it sorted in my head, one reason I like the Nissan so much, it is so forgiving.
I have often thought with some careful set up, especially dampers, the 911 GT3 can be tamed and is the quickest of the GT3 pack. :)
 
2:15, anywhere near the others? Default setup felt quite okay though. A bit of more rear wing only.
As an old bus driver I was delighted to see Czech Karosa buses parked there on the left side in the last right turn before start straight :)

I improved my time yesterday by a whopping 0.040 seconds. :cry: On the plus side, my improvement would, in comparison, only warrant a matchstick. :laugh:

I wouldn't think about lap times here Ismo, I'm sure you'll be in the pack - I think staying on the track will be the biggest challenge for most of us:laugh::) Have fun ;)

I'll keep an eye out for it when I go spinning off at that corner. It's an amazing track though.

I don't know if there are any bus mods in the D/L section of RD, but it would be great to race one. :thumbsup: I bags being Blakey :laugh:
 
When do you brake for T5? I don´t know why but sometimes my rears are locking up heavily even though i try to brake at the same spot with the same pressure applied (currently around the 5 sign). It feels like breaking too early, when the track is slightly more downhill, causes the tyres to lock up.

Move brake bias more to the front by a few percent.
Really should not be braking for T5 , a lift and turn.
Maybe you or I have the wrong turn.

No braking for T5? I really hope you do have the wrong turn in mind otherwise i have to go back to driving bicycles or something else than cars :D T5 is the 90° left after the long straight, you approach it in 6th nearly full rev out. BBias is already max-front
 
Sorry about that on my part, I do most of my braking in a straight line, only turning hopefully under a moderate brake to aid the final part of turn in, which I leave as late as possible, then down into 2nd as I approach the apex, it is a difficult corner to get the maximum from. Wait for “this” car to straighten up, then smoothly for “this” car apply power.
You may be approaching on a different trajectory and finding bumps in the road which unsettled the car.?
That’s all I can come up with, perhaps someone else has a better understanding than I.:)
