Automobilista 2 Updated to Version 1.3.6.1

Automobilista 2 May Update 01.jpg
An update for Automobilista 2 has been released to Steam and brings significant physics improvements to many of its most popular cars.

AMS2 fans will find a number of improvements waiting for them the next time they load Steam. The sim has moved to version 1.3.6.1, which updates much of the popular content in the title to the improved physics we saw for select vehicles in the previous major update.

Last month the newer Stock Cars and Formula Ultimate vehicles received tire model physics tweaks that most players saw as an impressive step forward in the handling and feel of the cars in game, and these tweaks have now been applied to more vehicles.

Additionally, select vehicles received significant improvements outside of the tire model changes. The Cadillac DPi, Super V8, Formula Ultimate, Puma GTB and Porsche Cup were each given multiple fixes and improvements in this update.

This update follows Reiza's monthly update schedule, and in addition to the vehicle improvements it also brought a large number of fixes to the user interface, AI and tracks. The changelog for the version 1.3.5.2 to version 1.3.6.0 update and subsequent 1.3.6.1 update are listed on the next page.

Of course you would get a lot of likes for that pandering hogwash. Even the latest update the cars are still slack. If you have the hottest girl in the room but she is a terrible date, do you still have the best girlfriend?

No, you do not. Such is AMS2. It was fundamentally flawed, and its got more bugs in it: do you think the drive line one was the last one? Its only the beginning. Also every single number is literally pulled out of thin air.
The only things that are fundamentally flawed are your comments here on racedepartment.

i bought into AMS2 during the early access and i always come back with every update to check out whats new and how my favorite cars feel (GT3 and GT4).
as far as driving feel goes it's for me personally only number 3 or 4 on my sim list.
but i give huge credit to Reiza, they are absolutely on this thing and determined.

I have some news for you. First that is not true what you said. It was a sloppy game for the longest of times. It has improved and I continue to enjoy what little I can of it. My beef with that type of comment from you is that we know the game was lacklustre since day one even when people raved about it; it continued on patching and was still poor but people said how amazing it was.

So which is it? Great or poor because its been a slow climb for the game.

I am here to say that I have enjoyed it the most this past week. It may well have turned a corner and I do actually enjoy the game, but at no point was I pretending in my posts. Now I am trying to tell you that as of the last patch while it is not perfect and can be a bit loose, no matter, while not at RF2 levels it is actually a good drive. So do not think I am just saying nonsense I am not. I am saying don't call it great until its actually great. Right now its really good, so do not take my comments to mean I hate the game outright or I am lying. I'm not. I know I am not. And your comments well - I hope to impress upon you the overall scope of what I am saying. The only reason I am even commenting is I am one of the few sim racing fans out there, and I think you will find honest appraisal is better than lies. At no point did I say give up. Shock for you: I have 660 hours in the game, oh no!? I must hate it! lol Maybe I left it on for a day or two I forget but do not think I do not play it so how could I know? Oh - I know. Apparently I hate the game. Whats that, 8 dlc at full price?

Apparently - I dunno mate, but turns out I can't support the company any more than I already am.

- Also I already said to a steel reserve fellow "
Question: Out of 10 how good is the game? 10? lol... ok I jest. Don't answer that.

I think the game and setups are or have become good but I dismiss all talk of 10/10 and total defence as not helpful, and now it is just down to some cars once they are setup for certain tracks being really good, but other times and its nothing to do with the setups themselves, its just not fully ready for a track no matter what is done.

A bad car would be dallara 302, no track is good for that now. f1 ult 2, kensai I find is really good, maybe austria; gt3r kyalami which is a good track for most cars, long bends show up some cars though. so the game is getting there but issues exist depending.

- to say I am fully anti ams2, well you have to go back in time to when it was really bad, there were dozens of people commenting, and so many said 10/10! wow. They meant 1/10 and now its definitely getting up there but one needs to be sensible.
