Automobilista 2 DLC Guide

Automobilista-2-DLC-Guide-Header.jpg
Automobilista 2 features an enormous amount of content in its base version already, but even more exciting cars and tracks have been added via DLC later on. These have been split into several packs, which are even bundled in some instances, so sim racers can easily lose sight of what to get if they want specific content. Our AMS2 DLC Guide is here to help.

As of January 2024, the list of DLC extends to 21 entries, with some of the packs overlapping with others on what they offer - the fact that some of the descriptions on Steam are a bit outdated does not help, either. So what to get?

If you want every bit of additional content, there are two new bundles that achieve just that. As of the release of v1.5.5.2 on January 20, the All-Inclusive bundles will allow players access to every piece of DLC released at the time of purchase at a 15% discount. This discount also applies to future DLC.

The "standard" All-Inclusive Bundle is aimed at new players or anyone who owns the Premium Expansion Pack or Premium Track Pack. Should you own these or any other items in the bundle already, your price will drop accordingly.

Automobilista 2 All-Inclusive Bundle - Contents

  • Automobilista 2
  • Premium Track Pack
  • Premium Expansion Packs
  • Historical Track Pack Pt. 2
  • Formula HiTech
  • Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans
  • Endurance Pack Pt. 1

Similarly, the All-Inclusive Bundle for SP Owners is for those who already own the Season Pass. This bundle includes the Season Pass and every DLC that is not covered by it. If you own the Pass or any other items already, your price will also be reduced accordingly.

Automobilista 2 All-Inclusive Bundle for SP Owners - Contents

  • Automobilista 2
  • 2020-2022 Season Pass
  • Formula HiTech
  • Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans
  • Endurance Pack Pt. 1
  • Historical Track Pack Pt. 2

Previously, the Season Pass was the one-size-fits-all solution. However, starting with the release of the Formula HiTech and Historical Track Pack Pt. 2 DLC in November of 2023, the Pass did not cover all available DLC any longer. Find the items included in the Season Pass below!

Automobilista 2 - Season Pass 2020-2022 - Contents

  • Adrenaline Pack Pt 1
  • Adrenaline Pack Pt 2 (not yet released)
  • Brazilian Racing Legends Pack Pt 1
  • Historical Track Pack Pt 1 (Cascais/Estoril 1988, Jerez 1988, Bathurst 1983)
  • Premium Track Pack (Catalunya, Hockenheim, Monza, Nürburgring, Silverstone, Spa-Francorchamps)
  • Racin' USA Full Expansion Packs (Parts 1, 2, 3) - including Pt. 4 once released
  • Supercars Pack Pt 1

AMS2 DLC not included in Season Pass

  • Endurance Pack Pt. 1
  • Formula HiTech
  • Historical Track Pack Pt 2
  • Le Mans

As both the Season Pass and All-Inclusive options pack a punch but are also priced accordingly, other packs or even individual DLC might make more sense for some sim racers. Check out the different packs below to see what they include and which one fits you! Also remember AMS2's convenient online feature that allows you to race even on tracks you do not own as long as the server host does.

Note: All tracks included in the Premium Track Pack can also be bought separately!

On behalf of the simracing community, I sincerely apologize that a piece of software that you purchased in early access (and probably at a discount) did not end up meeting with your satisfaction. Despite your disappointment, there is a silver lining: your initial investment might just suprise you soon by paying dividends.
I put this guy on Ignore ages ago (Blashko). So long ago in fact I can't even remember when. I just wish you lot would stop quoting him because it keeps compelling me to click to find out what crap he's spouting now. :D

As far as I understand, every single car in the game will have the physics and FFB updates when 1.5 is out, including the Caterhams. Or do you mean that you wish the Caterhams were already done in 1.4.8?
Yeah, that. I am pretty sure everyone understood what I meant without the particulars of knowing the specific number of the latest update. But I've been learned that 1.4.8.whatever the hell's physics update wasn't applied to all the cars. I'll think twice before joining another AMS2 topic if I am not 100% on some superfluous point. AMS2 on RD is serious effin business, apparently.

Er, I was just slightly confused and making sure you have the correct information. Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers, apologies.

Also where and when did Reiza ever say that MP issues are users fault?
Reiza Forums Link

For starters. There are a few more instances over the past few months that I've been browsing for solutions.

They are willingly blind to the issue and seem more interested in "fundraising" by advertising (far) future new content than fixing the online.

I wish to like AMS2 but it seems to be something wrong with physics and handling... driving AMS2 cars feels weird for me... I feel a huge lack connection with the track -not enough grip, weightless car... I don't know...maybe it is some issue with madness engine
wait for v1.5

Where does it say it's the user fault? He just said the problem with dedi server is not ping it is more the packet loss sensitivity. In facts if this is where you think Reiza said it's the user fault I think you are just stating BS big time.

BTW: I also share the same experience of having high ping but still being able to race well consistently because my network is very stable and apart from using wireless the upload and download capacities are huge and pretty reliable.

BTW2: you know very much nothing, since they have been experimenting a lot in Beta with different ways of hosting servers and including development together with a similar service provider as LFM. Results have been mixed but despite no huge breakthrough there are some improvements that have been experienced and could reach the public release in a not too distant future.

It's almost ready. I would say at least another week to release.
The content has all been released in Beta and now Reiza is working on tuning things.
The update of all cars to v1.5 physics is also a huge task that is taking a bit of time.
All worth it though.

new Dev Update incoming

I still prefer AMS 1 with it's abundance of mods and tracks without expensive DLC. ;)

Expensive is very relative. I just buy my sim DLC on sale. Taking into account the price of some games that you might spent way less hours in or the sim hardware, it's not expensive at all.

It's got an enormous amount of content...

But an enormous amount of bugs still...

The physics have matured to the point that it feels as good as anything else on the market...

But it's just a hot lap simulator in it's current form...

MP is broken, either you go with the statistical nightmares of the p2p side or the ghost contact on the dedicated servers where the predictions are that bad that one car can be punted off the road and the other car suffers zero damage...

The track state isn't the same for everyone online, some will have a drying line with some corners completely dry from white line to white line whilst others have a soaked track...

And the single player side is not in too much better shape with the AI having different fuel, tyre and damage physics that have yet to be tuned to the player side physics for a believable race.. They can think around the player and a believable sprint race can be had with the damage off... But for longer races you are left wanting to turn the fuel use and tyre wear off as well...

There's a few other game breaking bugs like the set up bug that gives the car settings from outside of the params set in the physics files causing the car to drive terribly... And a force feedback/settings bug that requires a deletion of certain folders or a complete reinstall...

Content is great and all but this title is at risk of falling into the same niche as the predecessors on the Madness engine... Content rich but too filled with bugs for the average sim racer to enjoy it...

I really wish Reiza would just finish the season pass content and get bug fixing... Give AMS2 an MP experience that doesn't remind people of their time on dial up and fix these game breaking bugs...

They'd make far more money with a working title...
MP broken?? :roflmao:

I still weep that Reiza choose for the aweful Ian Bells Madness Engine....
Reiza could have done beautiful things instead of making Projects Cars 3
Yeah, the madness engine is a complete ****.
Reiza could have created his own game engine or used one with signed credits.
The only good thing is the graphics.
Raceroom is more dated and is much better to drive.
