Automobilista 2 DLC Guide

Automobilista-2-DLC-Guide-Header.jpg
Automobilista 2 features an enormous amount of content in its base version already, but even more exciting cars and tracks have been added via DLC later on. These have been split into several packs, which are even bundled in some instances, so sim racers can easily lose sight of what to get if they want specific content. Our AMS2 DLC Guide is here to help.

As of January 2024, the list of DLC extends to 21 entries, with some of the packs overlapping with others on what they offer - the fact that some of the descriptions on Steam are a bit outdated does not help, either. So what to get?

If you want every bit of additional content, there are two new bundles that achieve just that. As of the release of v1.5.5.2 on January 20, the All-Inclusive bundles will allow players access to every piece of DLC released at the time of purchase at a 15% discount. This discount also applies to future DLC.

The "standard" All-Inclusive Bundle is aimed at new players or anyone who owns the Premium Expansion Pack or Premium Track Pack. Should you own these or any other items in the bundle already, your price will drop accordingly.

Automobilista 2 All-Inclusive bundles with prices for new AMS2 players who do not own the sim yet.

Automobilista 2 All-Inclusive Bundle - Contents

  • Automobilista 2
  • Premium Track Pack
  • Premium Expansion Packs
  • Historical Track Pack Pt. 2
  • Formula HiTech
  • Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans
  • Endurance Pack Pt. 1

Similarly, the All-Inclusive Bundle for SP Owners is for those who already own the Season Pass. This bundle includes the Season Pass and every DLC that is not covered by it. If you own the Pass or any other items already, your price will also be reduced accordingly.

Automobilista 2 All-Inclusive Bundle for SP Owners - Contents

  • Automobilista 2
  • 2020-2022 Season Pass
  • Formula HiTech
  • Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans
  • Endurance Pack Pt. 1
  • Historical Track Pack Pt. 2

Previously, the Season Pass was the one-size-fits-all solution. However, starting with the release of the Formula HiTech and Historical Track Pack Pt. 2 DLC in November of 2023, the Pass did not cover all available DLC any longer. Find the items included in the Season Pass below!

Automobilista 2 - Season Pass 2020-2022 - Contents

  • Adrenaline Pack Pt 1
  • Adrenaline Pack Pt 2 (not yet released)
  • Brazilian Racing Legends Pack Pt 1
  • Historical Track Pack Pt 1 (Cascais/Estoril 1988, Jerez 1988, Bathurst 1983)
  • Premium Track Pack (Catalunya, Hockenheim, Monza, Nürburgring, Silverstone, Spa-Francorchamps)
  • Racin' USA Full Expansion Packs (Parts 1, 2, 3) - including Pt. 4 once released
  • Supercars Pack Pt 1

AMS2 DLC not included in Season Pass

  • Endurance Pack Pt. 1
  • Formula HiTech
  • Historical Track Pack Pt 2
  • Le Mans

As both the Season Pass and All-Inclusive options pack a punch but are also priced accordingly, other packs or even individual DLC might make more sense for some sim racers. Check out the different packs below to see what they include and which one fits you! Also remember AMS2's convenient online feature that allows you to race even on tracks you do not own as long as the server host does.

Note: All tracks included in the Premium Track Pack can also be bought separately!

Please tell me what i need to improve for better physics.
In Steam go to AMS2's "Properties", then go down to "Betas" and select the "releasecandidate - Pre-release build". For me this change was instant (no extra downloading). The game will then be running v1.4.8 which is the preview build for 1.5 (releasing soon).

Then just try any cars that are in "Theo7272"s post above. If you have any car setups for any of these cars then back those settings up and reset them back to default (required for the improved physics).

No matter what i do, the physics need to improvment. Reiza has to work a little harder to improve the physics. Just play a few minutes rFactor 2,ACC or RaceRoom and compare with Automobilista 2.

There’s a new physics update arriving soon

It will improve a lot of cars making them feel more connected to the road (there are currently some cars with those physics already if you wanna test them)

Sorry @ Blashko

Steam reviews you see it's @ 91% this month so personally speaking I would expect it to be almost perfect.
Now years later everyone goes on about many different things that are not good and need fixing yet it gets even higher rating. lol

Meanwhile rF2 gets 57%

Boggles the mind.

I said for decades we need a Molders & Painters Co-Op. A proper organization funded by all simmers. I know I said 100 times.

This would present many opportunity to grow like a Academy of sims, real time classes, alpha testing for all sims, pay your dues you get reward.

Point is one of the first things that need doing is to make a industry standard rating system that looks at all aspects with each rated appropriately. Just like they do at a dog show, car show, baking contest there is always a practiced method.

So if a reviewer wants to rate something they would use the accepted method.
That would help us determine what are the best and worst aspects of all sims instead of generalization or simply leaving out important considerations entirely.

I already owned the full ams1, but wanted to reinstall to play the new RX stuff in it to compare to whats going to be released, I took the time and effort to sort out that horrible aliasing issue and setup my screens and dd1.. now.. my problem is, I now prefer AMS1 to AMS2! (for road stuff) Better ffb, more engaging, more connected in many ways, I guess because of the shared rf2/isi base engine perhaps.. and all small nuanced things they add, like the sparks bouncing across the road etc, its a blast to drive and I've clocked a tonne of hours in it the last while! ;) That said the new beta stuff thats coming is BETTER in AMS2.. the old ISI motor was not good at dirt.

Circiut catalunya is not included in the Track Pack. AFAIK this track is not available at all for AMS2. A pitty - I would love to drive there.
I use AMS2 sometimes just to have a ride and see something else again beside my well loved aC and ACC. Graphics are awesome with still high fps. driving is ok but still feels a bit loosy.

I have. rF2 and AMS2 feel quite similar. RaceRoom's tyre model feels outdated and cars either are on rails or go into uncatchable passenger sliders without warning. ACC is a complete outlier among all comparable sims and feels terrible.

Ahahaha, AMS2 similar to rFactor 2, and ACC feels terrible. What a joke.

What i say, the big problem of AMS2 is the madness engine.
The game is a clone of Project Cars 2.
Best Graphics
Bad Physics
Madness engine is based on gMotor2. :)
I think the holy wars of Sim1 vs Sim2 vs SimX, etc. are completely inappropriate. For me, the main criterion is to get pleasure from driving and competition, when your mouth involuntarily spreads in a smile. And it does not matter that somewhere something slides more than (allegedly) in reality, which none of the virtual racers have never experienced.
But to Reiza's credit, they try to take into account and correct all the inaccuracies and problems. And it is really difficult for them to do this, because there are so many classes of cars, they are all different. And now they are going to add rally cross... Instead of hating - let's wish them success!

Will add rally cross...lololol.
They should focus on the problems and fix them.
So much content and half of it dubious.

The 1.5 physics update greatly improves my enjoyment with the cars that got the treatment. I'll check back into AMS2 when all cars have the new physics. Until then, it looks nice and runs great on my PC. Theres some wierdness with aligning triple screens, but I have to make adjustments to my monitor stand, so I'm not blaming the game just yet.

I really like the tracks that are in this title. They really sell immersion, with the detail and (with 1.5) how worn they are. Long Beach is a grade A expierence in my book. I only wish the Caterhams were included with the 1.5 update. Perhaps it'll happen in the near future?

1.4.8 is the current public build. There's no beta right now. The release candidate branch is equal to the public branch. This is why your Steam didn't need to download anything.

Some people don't seem to get the memo that different people like different sims, and doesn't make it right or wrong. Average simracers don't agree with simulations. Pro esport simracers don't agree either. Real life pro drivers don't agree either.

This is why nowadays I don't challenge anybody who shits on AMS2. You don't like it? Fine, play something else. You like it? Cool, let's go racing. You want to like it and use it but something holds you back? Here is some piece of advice or technical tidbit that may help.

Of course, debates may surface from time to time that are worth tackling. But that argument of "drive x sim then compare" is dubious to say the least. Like somebody never drove any of the sims mentioned. Like somebody didn't make a choice of what sim to stick to based on a wide array of aspects.

It's easier to do and let's us get along better as a whole community.

The problem is that I paid 100 euros for this game on early access and I want something that satisfies me and not just another arcade game, as you certainly like. For that you have PC2, Need for Speed, Forza and many others.
