ACC | Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2 also confirmed for April

After last week's announcement regarding the addition of Ferrari's latest GT3 racer in Assetto Corsa Competizione next month, which had us think it would come as a standalone DLC, Kunos released today a new announcement, confirming the arrival of the rival manufacturer's GT3 race car latest evolution.

The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2, just like the 296 GT3, is set to be released on the Steam Store on April 19th. It sounds like Kunos is just going to be drip feeding announcements for cars on their socials until then, so at this point, it is fairly safe to assume we're going to see the Porsche 992 GT3.R come in the same update as well, although nothing is officially confirmed yet. The new GT2 SRO class cars are expected to come in the game as well, but they could still be planned for a later update.

Regarding the Lamborghini itself, the new GT3 car is actually based on the STO version rather than the "base" model Huracán, which is noticeable in the design elements and aerodynamic devices. But aerodynamics haven't only been improved in immediately visible aeras: the floor has been redesigned, but also the intake system, which allows the engine to be more efficient with the additional help of titanium valves and individual electronic throttle bodies.

Ask me if I care about a new GT3 ? No.
Asm me if I want tracks and Nordschleife ? Yes.
Ask me if want Ana de Armas? Heck yes! Ask me if she in this sim? Feck no. WHY WHY WHY keep asking for something that isn't part of the package? if Nords is such a big deal then get iR, rF2, AC etc etc etc
Me: I just bought a McDonalds Cheeseburger, where is the Filet Mignon?
Me: I KNOW I've already asked and asked and asked...but I want that Filet Mignon.
Me: I KNOW I could get the Filet somewhere else, but I WANT it here, just because.
Me: LOOK! McDonalds just added a new flavor of Soda Pop! NOW FOR SURE I CAN GET THAT Filet Mignon!!!
Me: (it's all Max's fault I can't get the Filet at McDonalds but I'm gonna ask again, just to be sure)

the addition of new cars is always welcome even if its just evo models of already existing one, though in this case we have two completely from the ground up built new car models, so thats cool.
but yeah, some more tracks of the existing gtwc championships would be nice. unfortunatelly for me, with indianapolis and cota i got in the last pack two out of three tracks that i find the most boring in motorsport currently.

Although welcome, it is like another variant of something that is already in the game. I am probably not going to notice much difference between them. I would like to see more tracks though, especially Sonoma. ACC is still my favourite sim, and I will get anything they release, but would like a bit more variety. Not asking for non SRO tracks but tracks to complete the current series would be very welcome.
What do you think about updates? Zandvoort is still the old configuration.

Updates are all welcome but I would still prefer to have more new tracks; Sonoma, VIR, Road America, Hockenheim and then follow it up with the Asia and Australian Tracks, but I am sure that would be a tall order. Its just my opinion, but new tracks will keep interest in the title more that new car classes, new variants of existing cars and changes to track configuration, especially when we already have several versions of a Lambo, Porsche and Merc, especially when I predominantly race offline.

True but we also should not forget that probably many at Kunos are now working already on AC2 as its supposed to launch in Spring 2024, so basically a year from now (though probably this will be the early access version?), so i don't know how many resources they have to create many new tracks in UE4. Sure they can also outsource the tracks and then just do the whole physics fine tuning of the tracks in house.

I would like something different but hey ho, it is a GT3 class game. But they all look and feel similar to me.
:)
Everything that makes them unique and exiting is bopped out of them.

I would prefer some more track instead of more cars.

This would be something I would like to see, a completely new car. More interesting that a slightly different variant of an existing car.
Just content on the SRO licence, so more 3 GT3 and GT2, and maybe Valencia (Ricardo Tormo Circuit) for me is enough and is welcome content, just waiting for April 19 to buy!!

I would be interested in buying this and the €60+ of ACC content sat on my Steam Wishlist but I can't choose how many of them I want in a race and which skins and drivers I race against..... so it'll stay there until I can actually use it in a way that appeals to me.

How much different would the Ford/Multimatic be from the street Ford Mustang Boss 302?(aside from the rear wing and splitter!)

Oh the GT3 one is completely different, hardly any parts will be shared with the road car. It's different enough that they're talking about making a road-going version of the GT3 car rather than it already being the other way around!
