Was a fantastic addition for AC for relaxed cruises, and it used to work fine, after csp updates it stopped working. I am just hoping for an update.

Hi, first of all thanks a lot for this app.

Here are some suggestions based on my experience with automatic gearboxes on BMW/Audi/Porsche, my trying of your app and browsing the code :

* Prevent double-downshifts by adding a requirement of ~2.5sec between downshifts. This would give time for the engine to ramp up and offer a nicer experience. Ideally, we'd want to accept double downshifts but skip directly to the -2 or -3 gear to avoid the harshness of multiple throttle blips (not sure if that's possible in AC though? appart from switching to an H pattern gearbox).
* Require a full kickdown (0.95+ gas pedal) to provoke a downshift in eco-mode. Allowing to comfortably ride the torque of the current gear. Most cars with a decent size engine will be happy to let you ride the torque before rather that downshifting. A sensor at the end of the gas pedal travel signals the ECU to drop one or multiple gears.
* Consider the brake pedal exactly like the gas pedal variable is considered to update aggressiveness. As an aggressive braking suggests an aggressive driving too.
* Consider lateral G-meter to prevent the dropping of aggressiveness while cornering (and prevent upshifts). Maintaining the aggressiveness steady between the moment one enters the corner and the moment one exits it.

Confused of Reigate here:
You say about installation..."Drag and drop zip into Content Manager, as usual, then enable the app"
I have WinRar, tried dropping into Content Manager but cant see the app on the game, many thanks for your help.

great mod i love it it dont work on all car but i like it
to enable :download the mod drag the zip file ont content manager go to setting asssetto corsa apps and enable it there (this is where i had the most trouble i couldnt find it)then load in game drag your mouse to the top left corner press on all apps and it will be one of the first apps

Mod works pretty well but from csp 0.2.0+ it dosent shift up. I tested it on 0.1.79 and everything works fine but when I use csp 0.2.0, 0.2.1 or 0.2.2 it dosent work, it still presses p in chat tho but game just dosent register it. Hope you or someone from community will find a fix for it.

Thanks a lot. Genius. I always wanted this prnd gear box in any driving game.

Assetto corsa's auto-shifting should be OFF for this app to work.

I’ve downloaded it. Installed it how I should. It’s enabled in the game under settings and in content manager. When I’m driving on the game I’ve got the pop up where I can select the different driving modes I.e. auto sport. Auto eco. However it doesn’t do anything I still have to shift manually. Can I get some help please?

very weird kick down takes like 5s and the gearbox somtimes dont shift up

Okay, this is pretty dang cool! - What i would love to see however is if you could create a pit-limiter/speed-limiter for rolling starts?

Sadly I think that's beyond my capabilities. We're actually not allowed to control the inputs to the car from python apps, this app uses a hacky way to hit the keyboard button to do what it does. I think if i tried to use keyboard buttons to do a speed limiter, it probably would end up really weird...

Not the best for racing due to downshifting at awkward times, but fun to take on LA Canyons. Good job

This app is very, very close to bringing something to AC that i've personally been wanting for a *long* time. It works quite well on most automatic transmission cars, but has a tendency to be just a little bit too sensitive when giving it between 50 and 90 % throttle. I would totally co-sign on the review made earlier, suggesting some solutions to this "issue". However, i applaud the idea and the implementation. An update on this part, and you'll see 5 stars from me for sure. I'd also love to be able to donate a coffee / beer / whatever for your work on this one.
