- huge amount of work for me as I have updated raindrops and wiper animation at higher definition : you need a powerful PC to get full wiper speed, so if you notice wiper slow down then either reduce AI opponents to 10-20 or disable wiper animation via GTR2_SETUP. You have to know that wiper animation is not sync. with game fps (CTRL+F) : you need at least 60fps under rain to see smooth 20ps wiper animation ; if game fps go under 30fps then the wiper animation will slow down to 10fps or lower and can even freeze sometimes when there are too many objects to load in memory (can happen with heavy tracks in some corners, or with too many AI).

Introduction :
My name is Paul (aka GTR233) and I have started to make GTR2 skins at nogrip by creating HQ content like HQ AMBIENT SHADOW, HQ LENS FLARE, HQ HEADLIGHTS, HQ RAIN and HQ HUD... Time passing, I have met a nice sim community (Arthur, ArmedLightning, David Wright & DucFreak, derDumeklemmer, DurgeDriven, leon_90, NeelJ, Philipp, Scorpyo, Shovas, syhlif32, ...so many good people that I just cannot list all but I always write name in credits when I get some help or use someone else work) who gave me advices and helped me to make GTR2 better. Back in 2015 syhlif32 told me : "next year GTR2 will be 10 years old so a 10th anniversary patch with all updates available will be smart"... and the GTR2 10th Anniversary Patch was born, of course at the very beginning it was just a single archive made with all the HQ MODS I have released then, along the years, I have added more and more HQ textures and fixes to make this ultimate GTR2 patch today : 15th ANNIVERSARY, LONG LIVE TO THE KING GTR2 !

Developped on Dell Inspiron 531 Athlon64x2 5600+ (dual core 2.8GHz) 6Go RAM with nvidia 9800GT 512Mo.
This GTR2 HQ Anniversary PATCH represents 6 years of work (nearly 15 000 FILES!!!) and includes all the necessary MODS/PATCHES for GTR2 plus tons of HQ textures. There are 2 games in 1, first the default 2003-2004 game with stock cars and tracks which get only few textures updates, second the HQ Cars&Tracks (with "HQ" prefix in menu) which get ALL the fixes/patches, more HQ textures plus exclusive graphics (both 2D/3D) : indeed, my will is to keep original game untouched to avoid online mismatch on internet and to see all the work done so far in this HQ Anniversary Patch when you compare both.

Plus pit chief audio translation for English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish & Russian.

-> GTR2 2k HDR Skies v9.0 : nice 6e66o & Hudson Kerr skies reworked with HDR effect in 2k resolution (2048*2048), plus 4k night skies I have made in collaboration with ArmedLightning, and HQ moon/sun. Download GTR2 HQ MODS COLLECTION if you want 4k HDR skies (4096*4096).

-> GTR2 HQ AI Talent v6.0 : better AI Talents (for GTR2 cars only), these tweaks will not be applied to 3rd party MODS you can install afterward because most of them won't use these drivers, keep in mind it is only talents drivers tweaks here. I mean there are many other AI tweaks in other files like AIW/GDB/HDC/TYR (patched in HQ Cars&Tracks) and PLR by example.

-> GTR2 HQ SPARCO SUITS 2018 v1.4 : nicer racing suits/gloves/shoes in 4k for driver, and pit crew/marshalls.

-> GTR2 HQ TREAD v4.0 : more detailed tire tread in higher resolution (WITH GRAVELS). Now every compound skin is different on contrary to stock game which shows same skin for all rain compounds.

-> GTR2 HQ TEXTURES MULTI-PATCHES v24.0 : patches for bugs/glitches that official patch v1.1 did not fix, plus many HQ textures.

-> GTR2 UIAssets Patch v3.0 : removed FNTCMOTM.BMP to allow skinned LCD. Note that this tweak is not directly visible but it unlocks motec skins.

-> HQ AMBIENT SHADOW v3.0 : smallest second shadow under cars in higher resolution (LARGE version). By default the shadow is too large and exceeds car body which is on contrary to optical laws.

-> HQ BACKFIRE v4.0 : reworked flames on exhaust (RED-BLUE version).

-> HQ CUBE MAPS v8.0 : better detailed car/track reflections in higher resolution.

-> HQ FOV DEFVIEWS v14.0 : no more in car headlight flickering at night and FOV choice (please see README). Note that textures flickering will depend on both the track used and the ClipPlanes : HQ Tracks have got less flickering than default because higher ClipPlanes show less flickering.

-> HQ MIRROR v1.0 : rear view mirrors in higher resolution (1024).

Hi! Just updated to the latest version, and I have noticed that the game crashes upon attempting to start any sort of race session using the 360 Modena GT. I do not know if anyone else has this issue, or if it is just me. I can supply the .DMP file from the crashes if required.

You did not read the readme, that's very bad :D
Out of the box after extracting archive you have nocd set by default which, indeed, doesn't support crewchief plugin.
But, as written in readme, launch GTR2_SETUP.CMD and 33 pages of various options will illuminate your life : answer is at page III, select binary #2 ;)

Sadly I don't own RTX card so that's not possible for me. Nevertheless, ReShade is a generic plugin which works on most directX games so you can test any version from rfactor or AMS, it will work more or less the same way in GTR2.

GTR 2 is still in my top 3 racing games and this mod is part of why. I have never had any serious issues with it, and when I have you guys have helped me resolve them.
And on a side note I am a paying member because I get a lot of mods here and want to support RD. And this is the only place I download from now, because of it's superior quality.

An incredible job by all concerned led by the passion of Paul, it's truly amazing just how good this now nearly 15 year old game plays and looks.
Unlike so many of todays games it's complete and now comes with wipers.

Excellent mods, I tested most and they delivered, but decided just to keep a handful to avoid unnecessary mismatches and such. Graphics receive nice improvement with some patches with rare squeaks. The FOV mod is stellar. The ffb patches are surprisingly good too, testing with a DD (sc2 pro) it feels pretty great, not too far behind at all of modern sims (I wonder how long it took to be done, kudos). Sometimes I get an error message or another, and I often need to set up some things from scratch, but it's not a huge bother.

Great job, but I wonder if it's possible that the patch is causing about 1/2 of my 3rd-party tracks to crash. The trace file usually shows it being related to
a material that can't be loaded. I can usually fix it, but it's digging greatly into my playing time. Any thoughts?

It's a short memory issue, the problem doesn't come from your PC but the way a 14 years old 32bits GTR2.EXE works. Many people on many forums (steam first) suggest to install the old nocd : this is the worst idea because it is limited to 1.8gb RAM, so if you load recent mods/tracks converted from AC/ACC/RF2/F1 20xx codies then your allocated 1.8gb of RAM are full and Crash-To-Desktop without signal in trace.txt file.
Both NOCD1/NOCD2 in HQ Ann. Patch are 4gb patched so you've got an extra 2.2gb of RAM allocated which means you can load a bit more Ai cars without CTD, but at some point you will reach 4gb RAM and CTD too. The new games such as AC/ACC/RF2 are 64bits and can use all your pc RAM available so this is a problem when you convert material to older games as GTR2.
By example, with old nocd of 1,8gb ram I can run around 20 high polygons AC cars, and with 4gb patched NOCD1/2 from HQ Ann. Patch I can load 35 AC cars...but I have CTD at 36 cars grid. Of course it will be even less cars if I run them on heavy tracks >100mb.
So my advice is to reduce AI opponents when you run heavy mods/tracks to not exceed 4gb RAM allocated.

Awesome patch as always! A really welcome change is the new setup screen layout which makes much more sense now, and the tweaks to the AI seems rather nice too. I had a great 90 min race with the AI, many times fighting for position in a 4 car group. Thanks for all the efforts!

i liked the patch and the visual (and other changes) in game, but i have a little problem, ferrari sf1000 and sf16h cause game crash, how can i solve that
Since v14.x the modded part HQ Cars&Tracks are totally independent from base game files which are stock (not modified by HQ Anniversary Patch). Base game is only skinned by new images so it is quite impossible that the crash is due to HQ Anniversary Patch : I think you've installe either a bad mod or you have a conflict between 2 mods. I don't know the mods you are speaking about : send them to me via your google drive or tell me which mod exactly it is and I will investigate :)
Please run GTR2_DEBUG.BAT then after crash, go to UserData\log\ and open trace.txt with notepad : scroll down to last lines and the reason why GTR2 crashed should be written.
