Season 9 - General Discussion

edit:
I wrote something longer yesterday but the more I think about it, the more it seems ridiculous having to defend myself for suggesting ideas.
-For the third time: I cant change my situation so please count my vote as not valid, this has nothing to do with "refuse to vote"
-Also for the third time: I accept this voting system so please let it be now and David stop going at me
ok then I will rate the 2 tracks I know end leave out the other tracks
This sentence is not rude, if you see it like that then I cant change that

No worries Jonas, there is no ill intentions from me either. it is just that when I get pressured on time I get stressed up, and I did not know how to solve this problem as answering your argumentation have taken a lot of time lately. but you are right that there is no excuse for me to answer in an unfriendly way.

For the future I would like to say that sometimes I must be short and brutal in my answers to save time and spend it where I have to. That does not mean I do not respect suggestions, just that I am a normal human being limited on time. Besides running and racing in this league I work more than fulltime in my own business, I play football, I race go-kart, I work out etc. etc.

But now I must run the mountains for the weekend :)

Nico I wasnt aware that this was bothering so much, so, sorry for that, but I assure you that there is no bad habit behind this. I just see a lot of potential in this league, as Im sure you do too and then there are some things where I dont see the point but it shouldnt be that you have less free time because of that, thats why I offer to help whereever I can with threads, video or articles or stuff like that.
So if you have something that needs to be done that I can do, then I'll be willing to help.
I live very close to the Alps, so I know how nice such a mountain adventure is, so have lots of fun there :)

jonas i didnt mean anything personal with the posts i made, i just meant as nico has said, give him a break, everyone has a life away from prestogp and must be allowed some personal time at least during the off season, everything in the league will turn out fine, its always does so calm down and take things easy sometimes it seems like you and kennett have duracell batterys you guys go on and on like the duracell bunny :D i still enjoy and respect your posts though so dont stop :) just dont get annoyed if suggestions are sometimes overlooked or discounted.

p.s before anyone mentions, yes i am now the epitomy of calm and taking it easy :D lol

Then I shall help you along. As I see it we can vote from this list.

Paul Ricard
Watkins Glen
Imola
Magny Cours
A1 Ring
Estoril
Dijon
Cicada

The vote will be done as I described a few days ago, because I think it is just as important to know what tracks people do not like to race as the once they do like to race.

Please forgive me, but I can't seem to find the post you described the voting process. Can you please point me to it or briefly describe it again. Thanks a zillion.

Thank you Bob. ;)

You better don't get a girl friend then! Things can be over quickly. :devilish: :p Or do you have one but forgot to mention her? ;)

Jonas, you should make a screen shot from Davids faithfull post and save it well. Those are expected to be rare... :p ;)

Hope your eye has improved Bob. :)

Voting will be via a Race Director [Nico] sent email.
I believe there are two tracks that need to be selected [from a list of eight tracks] to fill two vacant race dates in our calendar. Race 6 & 8 I believe....

The proposed track list to choose from:

Each of us will assign a number to each track to rate it and send the email back to the Race Director...
In effect this will give the following score system: 5-4-3-2-1-0-0-0 instead of 8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. The difference is very small in my view and will likely give the same result. I still marginally prefer 8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1, first and foremost because that is how we have done it earlier and it have worked very well but also because there are many that have an opinion of all tracks (even though they may not have raced them).

Our proposed Calendar:
22.8 –Presto - Race 1 – HUNGARY

N.B. Brazil is planned for the 5th of December I believe

None of this is set in stone and there are no prizes/ penalites. :)
The timing of the final race may move to a week earlier. Not certain....

Hey guys. Just wanted to say that I'm looking at this thread with some interest, as I'm interested to join you guys for season 9.

And to add some maybe useful information about the Hungaroring track that you guys want to run for Round 1:
The 2011 version is very well suited for good league racing; I've done a full league-race and a 2 hour enduro-race there with different cars already and it has proven to be very good :)
