Automobilista 2: 2024 F1 Liveries For New F-Ultimate Gen 2 Complete

Just in time for the 2024 Miami Grand Prix, the current season's liveries for the reworked F-Ultimate Gen 2 car in Automobilista 2 are complete. The pack is available in our download section.

With the Easter update to Automobilista 2, Reiza Studios has released a reworked version of their Formula Ultimate Gen 2 car. Its original version was based on the concept vehicle for the new-for-2022 rule set, but did not quite look the part anymore - the open-wheeler that replaced it in March fixes that and also offers a preview of the physics changes coming in version 1.6.

Naturally, this meant that the previously completed livery pack by @KRRTDustin was no longer compatible. Luckily, the modder got access to the templates ahead of time, courtesy of Reiza themselves, to start working on the new versions. Now, just in time for the Miami GP weekend, the F1 2024 Skinpack is complete again.

In what is a great week for F1 fans that race AMS2, just after the 1993 Season Pack was launched, the 2024 pack allows sim racers to race all teams' designs in the sim as well. Ten of the 24 circuits on the 2024 calendar are available in AMS2, with numerous alternatives also on the list. The Nürburgring, Hockenheim or Kyalami would not be out of place on a modern-day calendar, for instance.

Meanwhile, the pack is not finished yet - and set for a big update, although "probably not [...] before the end of this month", as the creator states in the mod description. Seven drivers' helmets are still missing their 2024 updates, and the upcoming version 2.0 of the pack will also include alternate liveries for Alpine, Ferrari and RB.

The next race to recreate on a correct 2024 F1 track is the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola on May 19. To find out the other races on the 2024 calendar that you could recreate in AMS2, feel free to consult our Ultimate Formula 1 Season Guide.

They ain’t half hard to drive since the tyre physics update, the limit of traction has quite an acute fall off, which is good, but hard if you are a sh1te driver like me :) I can catch it sometimes but you really have to be careful on the accelerator pedal.

Especially with the way AMS2 handles torque curves. Supposedly more realistically than the generic curves that have been used for decades now, but also means at 20% throttle input you are generating a lot more torque and potential wheel spin where other sims might let you slide with 50%+.
