Well I have to say this
the game a few months ago was fine
I use iracing, game stock car extreme
both of these are perfectly functional
but AC a few months ago
the FF is ridiculously heavy and the slightest touch of the wheel
and the cars are all uncontrollable
the tyres just grind and off the track I go
Logitech profiler is thr same as it always was
the same as everyone else aslo
No matter what I do it does not change
I use very second of the couple of hours per week to practice
starting the game and wasting my precious time
What to do?
I do not understand this nor the tech instructions that every one else understands
I've given up on playing AC
even if I reduce the FF to say 40% in the game in both places
no dice
What is wrong with this game?

Sometimes it depends on the car and the car setup on how "heavy" the FFB is. I tried someone's setup on a car that I had tuned and all of a sudden the FFB was stiff and more forceful than that of my setup.

What center spring settings are you using in the profiler?

Thanks Mike
you guys never fail to help a bro out
I gotta prepare dinner for the family so I'll get back to you
I'll take a pic of the profiler
Cheers mate
Edit
Well I tried to upload a pic but it says the file is too large?
So the settings are this:
Degrees of rotation- 900
Enable FF-ticked
Overall effects-100
spring-0
Damper-100
Enable center spring-unticked
but strength is 100%
Game settings
Allow game to adjust settings
Ticked
I can't race if I tick the enable center spring box, the wheel goes crazy
and constantly knocks from side to side-the game would be unplayable
so maybe I should tick the enable center spring, but decrease the spring strength?
It's obvious to many that I always am needing help with just about everything related to
sim racing, because the forums are littered with countless posts from me, and none are
"Hey look at my video" or "hey great race"
I have only a couple of hours per week to practice
and spend virtually all of that time never actually racing.
But I will never give up and will someday enjoy a sim racing career
I have an i7 processor and a rig that's about the extent of my tech knowledge

or those who have problems with easily locking up wheels during braking in cars without ABS.

I propose 2 solutions:
you go to logi profiler, brake axis config, and than you set:

1) 5% brake pedal sensivity in profiler, 2.00 brakes gamma in AC
or
2) 3% brake pedal sensivity in logi profiler, and 1.00 brakes gamma in AC

hi,

where in my profiler can i chance brake axis config ?
its not possible in my G25 profiler

And when it set the steering to 900, it works fine with road cars, but for example with formula cars i have to change it to around 500 deg to get the same steering..
so i have to adjust for every other car.
am i doing something wrong here ?

thanks

Thanks Mike

Turn off Damper. Go 100 / 0 /0 . In AC start with 100 gain, 0 filter, 0 dampening / Kerb 20 / SLIP 20 / ROAD 20. Start adjusting AC GAIN down first if u dont like it.

From my experience the heavyness of the wheel is linked to damper.

Laurent, Radu & Mikey Mike
just returned from driving my eldest daughter back to
university from spring break
Uh
You guys are the coolest
what a treat to see so much help at the ready!
I'll keep it simple today and cut you all a break
(And the rest of the forum members especially)
Will do these steps tonite after all my housework is done
Also, some day when I'm an actual live sim racer
and I'm ahead
I'm still not gonna let any of you pass
Earn it! Lol
Thanks mates!

Okay mates
I'm having fun this is fact
I think it's me and the the FF issue is just because the devs change it
as the game evolves
I have the profiler at 100% all other settings are zero
In game, this is where I get confused
There are two more FF- the one before racing, it's called gain
I have this setting @ 74%
then whilst in race screen proper you can click the wrench to adjust another FF
I have this setting for the Z4 @ 85%
before, about in November, I used to never mess with it and left the in game @ 100%
I guess it's me but when I watch videos, it's hard to explain
it just seems like you guys are able to turn the wheel more-
but I did a few laps with the Z4 @ Nordschlieffe so you can tell me
is 7:02.015 a respectable rotation?
This is with the ideal racing line of course
I'm sure I'm a half minute off the average racer

Ugh
that's not good holy shrimp
Maybe since I've never tried that course a few days with the
driving line would help and then use physical reflex and
mind memory
Wow that's a lot of seconds off a respectable time
Thanks and cheers

@Bartolo we are out of topic but IMO something around 6.50 to 7.00 is respectable enough.
So keep driving and you will nail it ;)

Back to topic now
The last settings i found from a guy at assettocorsa.net are the best for me so far.

Logitech:
Overall 90 <<<< important
Spring 100
Damper 100
<uncheck> 0
<uncheck> 900
<check>

Assetto:
Gain 67
Filter 80
Damper 0
Min Force 27

Effects (preference) 10,10,0
Give it a try

Okay mate I will
I gotta keep trying
If I just touch the steering wheel the car goes
right off the Tarmac
I watch videos no way my wheel is like others
I can't turn my wheel more than 2 or 3 degrees and I can make
a 90 degree turn the wheels grind it's very frustrating
All I can do is skid the car from side to side it's looks very
corny watching replays
GSCarExtreme is fine
Iracing is fine
Only AC is messed up I don't get it
I'm thinking in the logitech profiler to not set it at 100
I will turn it down 5 ticks at a time and see
It's just a bummer I get only a couple hours all week to race
It's all spent trying to adjust I wish I could transport one of you guys to my rig
and pay you to get it sorted ugh

Okay Parginos
These settings seem to be getting me there
The wheel is not stupid sensitive any more
Now I just have to get it right
It looks like the profiler settings are the most crucial to
sort out
Thanks and cheers again
Also- yes I'm a moron but only with sim racing
I am completely lost :0
