Yeah, AC looks great even without maxing it out. My old gaming rig only had a HD4870 and even if I only could run it on medium I loved it.

max out looks even better... try my setup ( page 6 and 7 ) ...
including nvidia control panel as well your fps will go down probably to 20 or less

what for U need 150 fps ?

Glad to hear you're enjoying it Justin.

Try dialing up some more of those settings though. FXAA provides good image quality with less performance impact than other Anti-Aliasing methods. Aim for a consistent average frame rate around 60fps. Be sure to test with lots of AI as well though.

I tried maxing everything out and only got around 35-40fps which isn't too bad. I guess if I play around with it, I could get it looking real nice at 60+

Haven't tried it with AI yet though. I only have an i3-2120 so not sure how well that will handle the AI added in

if you use max settings in nvidia control panel for AC file it will be less fps
my i5 2500k is running 5.0 or 5.2 GHz when I play with 20+ AI

Try to find best setup for U with 40+ fps
ps. sometimes I play with 35 fps only but it's still smooth and picture is

With AMD II X4 640,RAM 8GB,GTX 760 and maxed seettings, even smoke full and enabled in mirrors with 1280x1024 @ 70Hz
Alone on track 43 fps
12 AI 35-38 fps at start grid and 40-43 fps after 1/4 from lap.
14 AI 30-32 fps
17 AI 25-28 fps with drops to 1-2 fps quite often
Above 18 AI unplayable 1-2 fps all the time.

i can run up to 24 cars and still get 60 fps but then i have lag on starts and stutterings here and there
18-20 cars run very good on my system with no lags or stuttering

this settings are pretty enough for me ... with some cars i run Anisotropic x16 and almost no difference in FPS .. i run x8 so i know it will be perfect all time

... sorry I don't get that what for running low or medium settings with 50,60,70 - 150 fps ?
when 30 - 40 it's still smooth and U have much better picture quality

When you start upping the AI, its pure CPU power thats calling the performance shots, not GPU.

When running 24 cars, tests show my GPU usage drop to around 50% but CPU is nearly maxed out.
Single player and up to 12 cars my GPU is 99% and CPU is around 30% usage.
RAM usage is a little higher with more cars, but it never goes over 75%

My core components are: i7 930, 6gb DDR3, GTX770 4gb.

Not all of the 8 core threads are used much, so really hoping there is a fair amount of optimising to be done to AC yet to maximise the benefits of hyperthreading. Currently turning it off costs me a mere 10 FPS regardless of grid size.

I recommend anyone wondering why they arent getting the performance they expect, or are thinking of throwing 10x GTX780Ti's into their case should do these simple checks to know for sure where their bottleneck is.

I used:
nVidia Inspector - to monitor GPU activity.
CPUid - to monitor CPU activity.
Resource Monitor (via task manager) - to monitor RAM.

So hotlap or a grid of 12 cars, a better GPU would gain me performance.
A grid of 24 cars and a better GPU will gain me zero frames.

Everyones rig is different even down to the performance of identical components, but these principals remain the same. Hope this helps folks!

That's right, there's nothing to worry about. My rig is able to run 60fps 4K games maxed out, but unable to stay above 60fps with a 16 cars Grid in Asseto.

I don't doubt Nvidia cards.

I am just saying that no way can 7950 get that kind of FPS (120-190FPS) on Assetto on 1080P and max settings.

My 3DMark score close to 10.5K when CPU is overclocked at 4.6.

9K 3D Mark on stock CPU clocks.

true... I don't know what for some people lift up FPS numbers

and I think ATI have different graphics setups as well ...not in the game directly

Its easy to comprehend: single screen : 1920x1080 , Triple screens : 5760x1080
