I'm getting the steering wheel see-sawing left and right quite harshly as soon as I start driving. Any ideas? I've only come across this a couple of times with car mods.
Fanatec v2.5 CSW.

Edit: panic over, I had ABS forced on for some reason. Factory settings (as per your notes) solved it.
:)

There will be a update to fix this in upcomming days, together with some other small fixes.

Ref "interchangeable track maps in cockpit (based on real series 2018)", do these change automatically? I had the map for Most at Silverstone, so I'm guessing it only changes at relevant tracks from the 2018 series?

no, at this moment it is not automatic, if you want to use it, just copy the correct file to your skin folder and it will apear inside the vehicle. Some VR people will appreciate that maybe :) Or put Your family foto there instead, it's up to you :) By the way, in real car it is not automatic, isn't it?

Ah, no worries. Reason for my question was I'm sure there are mod cars that swap the cockpit track maps automatically (RSS GT1 cars, maybe? Not sure) so I thought yours might.

By the way, in real car it is not automatic, isn't it?

It's not, but then again neither is teleporting to the pits after a race, but AC does that for us. ;)
(I wish it wouldn't, TBH. I'd rather drive a cool-down lap and drive back to the pits myself).

Actually we were working on making it automatic with Shader Patch author x4fab but at this moment we had to do more important features and fixes, so in future this feature will probably work. There are still some things we want to add and fix, but currently we are preparing our own championship with this car at our community and there is quite a lot of things to manage, so when there will be some free time, we will return to this for sure.

I'm making a skin for the car and I noticed that both the main skin and the spoiler have the same map file (map1.dds). The spoiler should have a separate one, like map2 or something. Right now when I make a custom map for the skin, you can also see it on the spoiler. Would be great if you could fix that in an upcoming update

Thank you for reporting, we will fix it, as I said this is our first mod, we are still learning :)

yes, yellow and tiny.
where the F did all these guys get the memo from that it has to be yellow? :D I just don't get it and see it on so many ripped cars all around. Why yellow? Why make one channel of the texture (the blue one, iirc thats reflection sharpness?) zero, it makes the car look worse. Some shade of gray makes sense, yellow makes no sense

I just wonder who was the first and how it spread ;)

Having it tiny is totally fine if its single colour anyway. Better than 2048x2049 of uncompressed yellow goodness.

Green is reflection sharpness, blue is the amount of reflections. Also, I just checked, it's not a pure yellow, it's 255,255,66

You know how it goes guys when someone is trying to make something like this from scratch with almost no experience and almost no documentation arround. We had to do a lot of things we've never done before, a lot of reverse engineering and studying of different articles and forums and other mods, nobody from our team is IT specialist or pro 3D modeller, we are just simracing enthusiast with normal jobs and families, that's all :) This mod is not perfect, it's intention was to make a fun car as close to real car as possible (handling-vise), mostly for our CZ/SK community where this car is wery well known. You can dissasemble it to pieces, you will find a lot of issues and details in models and materials which could be done better or differently, but we are still learning. Today for example I've spent 4 hours to fix one detail which was not so important but I did it because I learned how to do it. However, if someone would like to help with some good advice or offer some help, don't hesitate to write me a personnal message, I would appretiate it.

I've been having a lot of fun with this car today, so that part is mission accomplished..!

One thing I did notice in VR: when running over kerbs (at Road America, but that shouldn't matter) the kerb colour can reflect onto the cockpit roof lining, making it flash slightly. You might want to make the interior roof lining totally non-reflective?
Loving this car, so thanks again to the team.

I hope you did not take my post the wrong way, I'm just seriously curious how that yellow map texture managed to make its way into so many mod cars as its something you won't find on the Kunos made cars :)

Haven't gotten to check this mod yet, maybe next weekend  From the screenshots its looks pretty good
