This will seriously fix VR visuals for now:

You can play with the vr.PixelDensity value vs. ingame Resolution Scale, haven't experimented much if it overwrites one another or what.
I prefer AA set to Temporal, High. Don't use Epic, not worth it.

Gone are the flickering lights in the garage, the track itself and the cars look clear and sharp, the spray and rain are no longer a blur - really like this improvements! Thanks for sharing!

just completed the sprint event with a full grid in the wet. With Tberg's settings and VR pixel density turned down to 1.3 I had a pretty smooth experience. Id say the 1070 should cut it on low settings for ACC in VR. I imagine the final release will be optimized and the current 0.2 is decent. Thanks for all the help fellas!

Well as far as i can tell these settings are what Kunos should lead with ! They are absolutely the best i have seen and quite a bit better than anything i was able to find !
Only thing i can maybe see is that there is no windscreen anymore or maybe it was just the time of day i tried !
Thanks heaps for these settings ! Where or how did you come up with them when Kunos released with such blurry settings ?
I'm gunna share these settings everywhere (and take full credit for them , lol, joking ! of course will give credit here ;)

You're welcome, but really I found them on R3E forums :p

But, they're all derived from the UE4 manual, so it's a matter of experimenting, which I guess Kunos still have as WIP. Right now, I believe they're working on hotfixes for VR, but the next real optimizations will not come untill future release(s).

Hotfix OUT now!

Just starting to play with the settings on ACC, and for the life of me, I cannot find this file or destination on my pc, ive litterally looked everywhere and used windows search also!

Any ideas why i dont have access to this?

TIA

**UPDATE**
Now found it, had to unlock show hidden files...

So these are my settings in engine.ini for a good, crisp view. I added negative r.mipmaplodbias=-0.8 and r.streaming.mipbias=-0.8. Because of more crisp textures dew to mipmaplodbias, i was able to reduce tonemapper.sharpen to 2, but that`s up to you.

To reduce ghosting a added r.TemporalAACurrentFrameWeight=0.2

Here are my full settings:

[ConsoleVariables]
r.TemporalAACatmullRom=1
r.TemporalAACurrentFrameWeight=0.2
r.TemporalAAPauseCorrect=1
r.TemporalAASamples=4
r.Tonemapper.Sharpen=2
r.SeparateTranslucency=0

r.SceneColorFormat=3
r.TranslucencyVolumeBlur=0
r.TranslucencyLightingVolumeDim=48
r.LensFlareQuality=0
r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0
r.FastBlurThreshold=0
r.SSR.MaxRoughness=0.1
r.RHICmdBypass=0
r.DetailMode=1
r.RefractionQuality=2
r.MaterialQualityLevel=1
sg.ShadowQuality=2
r.MipMapLODBias=-0.8
r.Streaming.MipBias=-0.8

In ACC i set PP to epic, shadows to epic anti aliasing to epic, too. Foliage is low. Resolution scale is 140%.

Was sceptical using them as mine looked fine, but glad I did as it now looks FAR better.

So, after a couple of hours this morning, reading things about sharpening temporal anti aliasing, upscaling temporal anti aliasing and so on, i edited my settings in engine.ini again.

I deleted tonemapper.sharpen and replaced it with temporalaasharpen. It produces sharp textures without the edge artifacts that Tonemapper.Sharpen does. Here is a good example for tonemapper.sharpen 2.5 vs temporal aa sharpen 2.5: https://imgsli.com/MDc1OA

I also added upsampling. In my opinion it gives me a clearer view.

Here are my settings. In my opinion i got a sharper view, but the temporal aa also works nice in distance. It`s a natural view, i think. Would like to hear your opinions about it.
