A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you have to check and see that its clear before you re-enter the track. Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.
When entering the track from the pits stay off the racing line until you are up to speed and do not race on your out lap. Let other drivers by in qualifying.
On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car. Remember, you've made the mistake by going off so let them by cleanly.

Golden Rule

  1. Be 100% sure it's not your fault and just carry on like nothing happened and take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Play on the safe side and wait for the affected drivers, knowing 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a complete lift of the gas please if it is safe to do so.
You will be penalized if you break our rules
Note: Please use your full real name in teamspeak. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

Sign me in please... With äh... uhm... egh... something with wheels and a internal combustion engine? Maserati, of course :D

Sign me up with the Porsche please!

Normally it would've been the Maserati due to the nicer sound and more sexyness. But in a short test it turned out I'm much faster with the Porsche. Also the handling feels much better to me.

@Dirk Steffen it's PORSCHE-time ;):D

Yeah i think there might need to be something limited :) Its like 4 sec a lap difference, atleast for me.

The Maserati is about 4 secs slower, it mount only standard street tires (ST) while the Panamera has much more grippy hypercar road (HR) tyres.
They looks pretty close in terms of top speed and acceleration, but mid corner the Panamera carries far more speed.

There wont be any limitations, this is meant to be fun, play around casual event, so pick whatever you like and enjoy. You can always switch to a different model, if there are any available for the race 2.

The cars in reality match pretty well, but in AC the problem that I did not recognize immediately was the tires. Porsche has Hypercar Road tires (with no other options) which are much better than regular street tires Maserati is fitted with.

Like you say though, Maserati has got the sound game going on and it can go sideways ;)

Nah this is not for me thanks for the invite.
I am not getting up at 3am to shuffle a saloon car around Road America during the work week ;-)

Lol, I thought you're from Germany. Now I know better.

Good thing with this car is, you could invite your family to sit next to you and behind you to increase immersion. As a nice side effect they'd get to know your hobby better and would learn to sit absolutely silent for a while, not to disturb you when racing. :p
