Wanted RIFT S wanted.

Just this weekend I took the plunge on a Pico 4 with the intention of using it for sim racing, previously I had the original HTC Vive but never got on well with it because of how front heavy it is, the pico comparatively is light as a feather and has no cables at all so no issues sitting on it or trapping it in a shifter or handbrake etc, the quality difference between the two is staggering, i can read everything on the dash with the pico, it was all a blur with the vive.
For the price I don't think there is a better option at this time, I would factor in an additional 20-40 quid for a better facial interface and £15 for virtual desktop on the pico store (absolutely essential after testing streaming assistant and VD side by side)
Wire free PC VR is an absolute game changer, 2 caveats with that though, you need a wifi6 router to go wire free and you will need a beefy GPU to get the best results but your 3080 shouldn't have a problem with high or ultra settings in the more demanding, newer games. Older will be fine on godlike.

I'm still in two minds about this whole VR thing. I want to try it but I just wish I could rent a system to try. I really enjoy sim racing with my track IR5 and 49" g9 monitor and I am thinking that low res VR just will not satisfy me. But I often search on ebay and other places for a secondhand Rift S but very concerned that I will get ripped off.

I have a rift s to get rid of as I have a G1 and G2. I wouldn't say its mint but it works a treat. I don't have the box, just the headset and controllers £100

Here you go.

If its not working I wont sell it. I will have to re-download the software to test it but that wont be tonight...
Obviously you will have to pay post, I guess a fiver or so to Lincolnshire from Northamptonshire, not sure.

Yes a fiver would pay for EVRI tracked parcel. Thanks for this.

Just tested and works fine. Tried to take pic inside headset but hard with large phone.

Thanks for this. Can I ask if this unit has had much use? It does look pretty good. And does it still come with the mini display to mini USB C adaptor?

Cheers
Andy

It didn’t have a mini display to mini usb c adapter. Used it on and off for about 4 months(still used triples). Got the G1 and shelved the rift.
