The home of the British Grand Prix plays host to the second round of the 2017 RDLMS by Vesaro here at RaceDepartment, with all the action exclusive and live on Saturday 13th May.

The opening race of the season proved to be a classic exchange of powerful driving from our 36 strong field of cars at Interlargos, showcasing 12 hours of close and hard fought action leaving nothing out on track before eventual winners FEEDER Ragnar Simulator & 11000 Bit Racing crossed the finish line to bag a full compliment of points in the quest to become 2017 RDLMS by Vesaro champion.

Fast forward to May and already the successful opening race of the year has become a distant memory, with new cars, new teams, new drivers and revised liveries all preparing to head to the home of British motorsport in Northamptonshire for the Thrustmaster Six Hours of Silverstone, our first six hour event of the season and a return to a circuit popular amongst many of the competitors taking part in the series.

We welcome a number of new teams and drivers to the grid for this the second round of the season and are very proud to confirm a capacity 40 car entry has been confirmed for this race. With over 150 drivers vying for seat time during the event, the Thrustmaster Silverstone Six Hours should be an intriguing "mini" endurance festival that should give fans and teams alike an excellent feel for who will be competitive during the remainder of the year.

With typically mixed weather conditions expected to greet the drivers come race day (it is May in England after all..) and a circuit known to be a punishing experience for both man and machine, the current championship standings could well look very different when the chequered flag falls on Saturday night.

As an added curveball to throw in the mix this race will be the first RDLMS event using the new rFactor 2 DX11 / VR update build. So expect improved visuals and an all together better viewing experience for the fans back home, plus some pretty epic looking lighting changes as the cars race into the setting sun at the home of the British Grand Prix..

You can check up on the current championship standings by viewing THIS LINK.
