It was bound to get my attention when one of my drivers has a blocked status for 95% of the laps in the last two races, on easy overtaking tracks.Regarding overtaking:
- The system considers the speed difference. But there is not a huge one for Briscoe to take advantage.
- Luck plays a serious part.
- There is not escalating odds for an attacking driver to pass as laps go. Each lap is calculated separately, it does not matter he got stuck for the previous 20 laps or not.
- When two drivers fight, a faster car coming behind them gets a bit advantage on overtaking. Hence the passes with blocked-blocked-overtook.
- Overtaking system has been like this since several seasons. (maybe more) I am surprised to see that it got this attention now.
