RaceDepartment.com will be down on Wednesday 30th October, as we look to bring a fresh new image to the largest sim racing website in the world.

Having undergone considerable growth and change in the last decade and a bit, we feel the time is right to take our website to the next level of presentation and functionality. On the evening of Wednesday 30th October (approx 22:00 UTC) we will close access to www.racedepartment.com for much of the night, as we upload and launch our brand new website!

We anticipate access will be restricted for around 12 hours, but if you still need that essential sim racing fix, take the opportunity to check us out on our various Social Media platforms, which can be accessed via the below links.

See you all on the other side!

If it aint broke dont fix it. So narrow with tons of wasted real estate. Who the heck sim races on a smart phone or tablet because that's clearly what this redesign is for. Its not as bad as the Nvidia redesign a few months back but wow, why does everything have to cater to the smart phone zombies?!

It sure took a lot of time to put this up and I appreciate that in any case. But I have to admit I am not a fan of that tile design on the front page. The forum pages look alright, it will just take some time to get used to the new look.
I won't be leaving the side because the content and community here is still great.

Well, it's a change for sure, but I think I quite like it. Looks nice and clean

But, as others have already mentioned, it would be great if some kind of "beer" or "thanks" (I used the beer response to basically say "cheers" like 99 percent of time, ever since the "thanks" was removed) could eventually make it back to responses to post.

And, on a more functional note, the page indicator on multiple pages of content needs to indicate the current page you're in more visibly. Right now, the number of the current page has almost white background (249,249,249), while the numbers of the other pages...have almost white background only very slightly darker (244,244,244).

But I absolutely understand things take time to tweak and it's to be expected after a big change like this.

Desktop is always number 1, this isn’t finished yet. Things will evolve.
