The next scheduled release, RACE On will target all PC owners with a bit of petrol in their blood and comes with a very strong selection of new challenging content including the tracks and cars from WTCC season 2008 which turned out to be the best and most competitive championship ever. SimBin has recreated the epic 2008 season down to the smallest detail and now YOU get the chance to show the world who the real champion is. Jump in the car of your favorite racing driver and compete with the best through 12 unique tracks located around the globe including Okayama.

Race On also marks a new focus from SimBin with the inclusion of iconic Detroit Muscle cars suited for those who like to lay down lots of rubber power sliding out of corners on the rev limiter. Enough torque to drag the moon off orbit, full opposite lock and a big grin on your face.

To finish the new lineup SimBin brings you Formula Masters, a top of the line open wheel series, offering you even more speed and action than ever before. Extreme cornering speeds and simulated g-forces make this a true driver’s car.

But RACE On is not just new cars, it also features brand new American tracks in SimBin quality and it comes with a hefty update of existing tracks to 2008 standard. With RACE ON comes 5 brand new tracks all recreated down to minute detail.

As a bonus the game also includes the complete “STCC The Game” (The Swedish Touring Car Championship) which has previously only been released in retail stores in the Nordic territory and Russia. The tight and technical Scandinavian circuits and the wide variety of touring cars running in the series have already created a large following so SimBin is happy to be able to offer this package to the rest of the world including 7 Nordic tracks and 6 unique car models.

About RACE On
RACE On includes the following new content:

* 16 unique car models in 8 classes with over 140 variations.
* 12 tracks of which several never has been released by SimBin on PC.

RACE On will be available as a stand alone game including all RACE 07 content and an expansion pack for existing owners of RACE 07 will also be available.

All in all this makes up for:

* 39 unique car models in 17 classes with over 450 variations.
* 30 tracks and 17 alternate layouts, in total 47 tracks.

For current owners of GTR Evolution RACE On is designed to merge and fully integrate with the existing GTR Evolution. RACE On is scheduled for release in Q2 2009

Why the hell are they doing the 2008 seasons, we're in 2009, wouldn't it make much more sense to create the up and coming season than one thats already been.

I'm not exactly blown away by this. I will buy it - as I'd like to have the full WTCC 2008 line up and the new tracks. Hopefully they will give us every car from WTCC 2008 so we get everything that entered last year including one-offs (unlike WTCC 2007). like Couto, Dahlgren and the Eurocup winners.

I already have STCC so this doesn't give me that much excitement. I hope we get some interesting US tracks, and not just Laguna Seca, Road America and 3 tracks we already have as addons like Mid-Ohio. I'd be quite happy with a street circuit or 2 added in.

I'ma bit disappointed really that we have WTCC 2009 season started, yet we end up with the teams etc from the 2008 championship that finished about 4 months ago. At the same time though, and updated content is welcomed by me.

Well if they want to release it in Q2 it shouldn't be 2009 season as anything can happen after. I have no problem with it, remember GP series, those games never had the actual F1 season but they were great! The disadvantage is clearly the Cruze and the Morocco street circuit, but at least we get the Lada and the TDI Leon, Okayama and the new version of Imola, without Variante Bassa (+ the new american tracks), Formula Masters is a great open wheel series, and Muscle cars are always good to drive and they also look great

Estoril + Imola + Vara = 17

17 + 7 STCC tracks = 24 + 3(Nordschleife, N GP, Nurburgring Full) = 27!

It says 30 tracks so just 3 new tracks

Just read the 'news' about Race Pro On.
Besides having some American muscle and US tracks it sounds more like Pay On then Race On.
I am more curious to new features in the game then just more cars & tracks. When do we finally have real tire-walls? And other more important missing features. Oh and even more and new features. lol

Car & Tracks can be downloaded with plenty in stock.

WTCC 08 sounds pretty boring. Diesels don't belong to racing, they should be called lorries

If I would buy it? I normally buy almost all simulation racing games. Since the last Race 07 patch and not that spectacular news about Toad I wonder why I should buy it. Where is the top tier racing series which is promised?

I think all of the dissapointment is mostly from getting your hopes up so much. Personally, getting STCC free, with some extra stuff will be cool for me.

Oh and Ramon, I don't think we will get new features till the next full release because of online mis-match and so on. Unless they updated race07 itself in a patch.

As i read it you get it for free when you buy the full game of RACE On! If you already have RACE 07 or GTR Evolution you can upgrade with the "toad" expansion but that doesnt include STCC.

It's confusing because when you buy the RACE On expansion and will expand with STCC havent you paid another full game again?

Isnt it new then? The old Imola is different then the version the FIA WTCC drivers drove last season.

will defo buy it cause the Steam system works so nicely (I am a lazy lazy guy) too bad the muscle cars and the formula masters are of little to no interest to me, I really look forward to the diesels, though, and the Lada. We should start a Lada league!
