ok so its only me who gets this kind of dark green grass at kerb edges ?

I understand that, but when I play it, the background of the track map is indeed darker but with some transparency (like 50%) so it didn't really bother me. The 'advantage' of the darker background is that it improves the contrast of the track map. But I can make it completely transparent, no sweat. :) (that's very easy to do, compared to all the rest :D)
For the stock map display it's not a big deal, I agree it might even look better. A lot of people use an app like MapDisplay which displays the entire map. In that case, that big black non-transparent piece of black is quite ugly :p

It looks like you're running a different track. I have no patch file for this track, I don't see that billboard anywhere or those power lines and I can't find an orange-white kerb anywhere.

A small update with minor changes... Most are (correct) remarks from NightEye87. Thanks ! So the changes are a modified track map for during racing, removed some of the ugliest trees :whistling: (though there are still many left :roflmao:), changed the position of the car for the hot lap, ...

Another reason why I post this minor update, is that my "fear" came true: I made mistakes when I created this track last year. This is mainly because it's my first track and I didn't know most of...

I should release a newer version in a week or so. I switched to Blender (massive change), added some stuff, corrected others, read a lot (from Luchian, Lilski, yes NightEye87 as well :thumbsup:, and others) and tried to implement what I read, improved the AI (with the help of Esotic's AI Line Helper), ... I experimented a lot, some successful, others not. ;) The only thing I'm struggling with now, is blending 2 different textures... I'm not satisfied with the results I got so far. In my opinion I made some progress, and I intend to share that with you all... Till soon !

With a day or 2 delay, an update of my track...

What changed ?
- I'm now working exclusively with Blender (which is not visible of course), so I can work on a more low level base. This allowed me to, among other things, close gaps in the meshes, and correct more precisely acute topographic level changes, ...
- I've added the gravel and sand pits (remember this is an existing track, so I try to mimic the real thing)

I hope you don't lose your enthusiasm to work on this track. Its flow is fantastic, all those elevation changes etc. Just wonderful to drive on. Next up maybe grass fx etc? to also make it visually as pleasant as it is to drive?
In any case, thank you for this gem of a track layout!
 
beautiful track. I know they have already asked for it but it is really important to have cameras placed in the right places to be able to better appreciate the track. the "cameras" file contains 13 cameras but they are badly positioned.

I'm not giving up... ;) It takes time I admit, but I'm busy on several things, which is not not a good thing I admit... I'll be driving on that track (for real) in about a week and half, so it will refresh my memory. I'll take into account the camera remark, promise !! :) Thanks for the feedback, as it helps me a lot !
