The track of Pau-Arnos is located about 20km NW of the city of PAU (SW of France). This technical track of 3.030m was created in the 80'ies and is located in a area full of hills.
J'adore ce circuit pour rouler! technique, rapide, il est canon. A voir dans la mise à jour la position de la voiture dans les stands qui se fait toucher par les autres.
Thanks for shareing. I like very much the layout of this track and actually this mod is very good for a v0.7, but needs more work, especially on the visuals of grass and track surffice.
Of course !!! But I've been away most of the summer, so I didn't work on it. The next couple of weeks will be busy as well (touristic rallies and trackdays), but I'll start to have more time... Give me a month or 2 before the next update.
Needs work, dimensions are well off. Seems like the scale is couple of levels too small. Id advise you to watch videos of the circuit, there is a very good one of an orange caterham going around the track.
Hi, it sure needs work, no doubt. :-) I'm doing that by starting from scratch with much better terrain data. As of the videos, I have my own... I did and do drive there. :-) The scale is not that much out of range though... Thanks for reacting !
The track layout is really fun to drive... remind's me of Mas du Clos. Good choice! still need a lot of work but it is promising. Hope you will keep on improving it.
I am ! :-) I just finished the basic track layout with the new data, and the ride is already way more comfortable !!! :-D Pau-Arnos is a quite technical track.
I admit I didn't race on that track, just 'practice', as I was not fond at all about the car's reaction on the track. By doing some tests, I discovered it was due to the lack of triangles (resolution of the data) on the track itself... That's when I decided, it was time to work on better data, hence I stopped "toying" with that alpha version, and went on to part b of this project. Thanks for the feedback !!!
Nice job! The layout is really cool. If you could smooth out the road mesh and tidy up the edges of the track along with the curbs, this would be really solid.
Working on it, right as I type this... :-) Nearly finished downloading a much preciser and detailed layout of the track. The new track should be way smoother. Thanks for the info !
